Dr Adamek and I sat down discussing and making a plan about all the things I needed his help with. He was very nice, I feel like he's listening while we talk. I highly recommend this family practice to anyone who's looking for a "true" care team.

Horrible Experiences- I'm writing this as a daughter who had to step in and advocate for her mother…read moreafter months of being ignored and dismissed by this clinic. My mom first reached out to this office about severe pain back in December, and from the beginning, she was not taken seriously. She described her symptoms in detail, explained the pain, and even told the provider she couldn't sleep lying down because of how bad it was. Instead of offering appropriate care, she was literally told by someone (possibly a nursing assistant) to try sleeping in a lawn chair rather than being referred for proper imaging or tests. An X-ray and EKG were done--even though she clearly said she didn't think it was her heart. She asked for more imaging and was denied. At her next appointment, the physician didn't even remember what she had told them. They pointed to a completely different area than what she had described. How does that happen unless no one's listening? To make things worse, they took blood and made her wait 12 days to get results. Twelve days. That is unacceptable. I finally went with her to an appointment and demanded they take her seriously. Only then did she get the imaging she should have had months earlier. That scan showed a mass the size of a grapefruit near her kidneys. We found this out through the patient portal -- no one called. No urgency. No explanation. Nothing. This turned out to be stage 4 Lymphoma. And if that wasn't enough, she was referred to an oncologist who was out-of-network. So now, on top of dealing with a potentially serious diagnosis, we had to navigate insurance issues and start over trying to find someone else in-network -- all because this clinic didn't do their job properly. This is negligent, unprofessional, and honestly, dangerous. My mom could have been left in serious harm if we hadn't pushed and demanded better care. She now feels unsafe continuing care at this clinic, and we are switching providers immediately. Your patients deserve to be heard. My mother deserved to be treated like a human being -- not brushed off, delayed, and sent to the wrong specialist.

Not only will they work with you on general issues, they are so thoughtful, patient and kind that they'll take the time to get to the bottom of specific issues, too. Doctor Pickworth is the best doctor I've ever had the privilege of seeing. She is authentically compassionate, understanding and takes time to help you fully understand, think through solutions, and truly work with you, where you're at. I was able to address an issue under her care almost immediately after having worked (and failed) for years under the care of another doctor. So grateful that I found this clinic. All of the staff are so wonderful and cheery, and like I said, Pickworth is the best. Seriously, haven't ever thought I could be excited about doctor's appointments, but here we are. Thank you to the team at NW Integrative. Y'all ROCK.

She is amazing with chronic health conditions that have left other doctors puzzled. She is kind, emphatic and very knowledgeable. She takes her time to explain everything and works with me. I have been trying for three weeks now to get a simple statement showing my payments to MFCC for FSA substantiation and just now received an email bounceback that their office is closed all week. Firstly, it's impossible to reach the front desk - voicemail only. Then they call you back from an unlisted number, so it's impossible to know who is calling. Argh. Then, the doctor requires that you submit new patient paperwork via email for her to review before you are allowed to make an appointment. The reason given is that she might decide she doesn't think you fit in her practice. It then takes a week to hear back after emailing over the paperwork. after which, you need to follow up with them, if you want an appointment. No courtesy call the day before to remind you there's an appointment, so you call to see what's doing there and have to let it ring out and call again. Receptionist answers finally and confirms yes, you do have an appointment. You arrive 10 minutes early, then wait until 25 mins past the start of your appointment time to speak with the Doctor. The Doctor is thorough and nice (if quite defensive about being called out for being so late). Attempts by staff to draw blood - the student MA's attempt is painful and she aborts mission. (Bruise is already looking pretty gnarly) Bring in the senior tech to have a go at the other arm - who can't find a vein and aborts mission after digging around for a bit. At this stage, I've been at their office for 1 Hr 40 mins. They tell me they will write a script to go to a lab and have blood drawn. Knowing my personal compliance level to find the time to drive to yet another appointment is very low, tell them not to bother. Needless to say, despite friendly student medical assistant and thorough/friendly Doctor, I'm still in the market for a new GP. A busy schedule, low tolerance for being gratuitously poked with needles and a general aversion to waiting = this probably isn't the right place for me.
