The Credit Union customer service reps are unable to remove you from the 3rd party providers they sell your info to, such as TruStage Insurance. The first time I called WestAirComm, they said they'd remove my information. Months later I'm still receiving junk mail. Today I call and am told * I * have to do the legwork to remove my address from TruStage. I call TruStage to be removed from their junk mailing list and the rep keeps asking me for birthdate and SSN on my policy. I don't have a policy!! I told them my birthdate it isn't necessary to stop mail coming to my home. In this day and age it's not wise to give out personal info to companies you don't have a business relationship with. Additionally, the West AirComm website is not up to modern standards. I've had wonderful experiences with other credit unions but this one is a joke.

But since I was a new member opening a new account they told me my deposit would be on hold. The teller lady said it would be a 3-day hold. But when I left and happened to look at my receipt I counted 8 day hold from the day they said my deposit would be released. I called to verify how many days would it be and at another location a teller told me all new accounts automatically have an 8-day hold. Next time I know to make sure of situations before leaving confused.

Their online system limits the deposits you can make so using it for business or even personal use is not practical. We recently relocated and needed to close the account. I inquired about the best way to do it. They said drain it as much as possible then call to close. So I did that but then I had to pay a low balance fee of which they credited most of but just enough to keep my remaining balance of $.79. While that's not much money.
