    a selection of beer glasses

Arrived on a Saturday afternoon. There were a few people around the bar but not a big crowd. I had two flights. The first included the LV40 Pale Ale (excellent with moderately strong citrus and pom fruit aroma/flavor), the berry ale (the name escapes me now, made with local berries that are a cross between raspberries, and blueberries). The berry flavor was more subtle than I expected (raspberries are usually over the top in beers making them taste like a raspberry soda) making this beer thoroughly enjoyable. I also tried the Witbier (needed more corriander or some other kind of spice) and the O'Kelly's Irish Red (moderately rich, malty ale, well done). I wanted to try the Rolling Coal Oatmeal Stout but it was only in cans. I asked the beertender if I could buy a four pack and pour one at our table. She said there was some kind of state law against that. She then took one of the cans from the four pack I was holding, opened it, and poured into a glass for me...fantastic service!! Overall the beers were not quite up to the steller level but were certainly enjoyable with no stinkers or obvious technical flaws. The service was over the top outstanding. We ordered pizza from the restauarant two doors down and enjoyed it with our beers.

1st visit to FT Kent, & 1st visit to 1st Mile Brewing did not disappoint! Excellent beer's & hospitality! If you are ever near the area, I would suggest stopping in for a flight or pint. Hoping I get a return visit to the area so I can stop by for another visit!!!

Great stop every year while upta camp. Solid beers (and can get 4 packs to go), staff is always helpful and friendly, and cool vibe inside. Totally recommend when in the area. Can bring in food from local establishments (there aren't that many) if hungry but I've always enjoyed sitting at the bar and listening/joining in fun conversations.

I pulled over to read a map and as I did, I realized I was at a brewery. And not just any brewery but, the only one in town. Friendly and knowledgeable staff (of one), she answered all my questions and let me try anything I wanted. I settled on a Shiretown Pale Ale and sat down next to a window to enjoy this outstanding beer! Cool rustic vibe with really good beer. I will stop every time I'm in the neighborhood!

Cute little place near the edge of town. Lots of tables a bit of a draft so I needed to keep my…read morejacket over my shoulder to keep warm. Our waitress was knowledgeable and give us some good ideas. Water was good and so the selections were mostly typical. As you know, I don't drink they had a large variety of IPAs beers, other alcoholic beverages. They also have mocktails. He did an order of the cheese curds. They were very good at dipping sauce tasted great. I ordered a salad, which was OK and pork filled a bao buns which were very tasty and barbecue juice sauce is not too spicy not too sugary. The whole sauce was very good on the bottom. Just wish it was a bit more. Make sure you have that napkins cause it does leak juice. My Son had the fish and chips. The fish was really well done they say crunchy a good portion of fish. Fries were good too.

It was busy but we got seated right away. People were lining up after we were seated. The walls…read morewere stark white but to me that showed cleanliness. It took 45 min for our appetizer to come out, after our server had come over twice to tell us it would be out soon. Then she didn't even bring it out, someone from the kitchen did, the same for our entrees. My steak tips were too tough to chew. My husband had the sampler and his steak was too tough to chew as well, and he said so was the chicken. He said the fish was the best thing on the plate. For me, the smashed potatoes were the best thing on the plate. Oh and the carrots were cold. I have to say, the presentation was beautiful, though. Our server never came back until it was time to give us the check. Never asked how our food was mid meal and never asked if we wanted another drink. All she did was she took our order, falsely told us twice that our appetizer would "be out soon", then we never saw her again until she brought the check. We're not ones to complain to a server so we just paid our bill and left. Our dissatisfaction was reflected in our tip, and we're usually fairly generous tippers. We're not local, but we visit the area a few times a year because my husband has family in the area. We won't go back the next time we're up there.
