MM is a reliable hit whenever I bring visitors to the County for lunch or brunch. The place is packed every time we go, but even a 20-30min wait goes by quickly looking through all of the odds and ends in the shop. The atmosphere is great! Laid back, good food. The burgers are a must, so fresh and juicy, the poutine is also delicious. The hamburger potato skins are not good (basically home fries with a Big Mac on top) and the BBQ nachos are sub-par, not enough chicken or bbq sauce. 4/5 for the burgers and atmosphere. This is a great seasonal restaurant that will remind you of cracker barrel. Part country store, part restaurant. The food is very good and they give you plenty! The chicken tenders are very good and the loaded fries are truly loaded. For those who like poutine they have many varieties. Dessert is simply placed im front of you no matter what you order. They also serve a very filling breakfast and one meat means one choice of meat, not one piece. I think they gave me 5 or 6 pieces of bacon. The toast is homemade bread and they give you homemade jam as well that you can buy there. They serve breakfast and lunch with a breakfast buffet a couple times a year. They also sell baked goods, homemade fudge, whoopie pies, and other baked goods, candy, and a multitude of locally made crafts and furniture. Definitely a must see! read more

This place is so homey...and an awesome representation of the valley! The food, staff , and atmosphere are all top notch. You won't get a better breakfast...from the bread used for their toast to the jelly you spread on it...everything is homemade, and delicious! What a lovely place! It was definitely an entire experience. Once we walked in, we quickly realized how much thought and warmth the owners put into the restaurant/store. There was a ton of rustic decorations that are one of a kind, definitely worth a stop even if you're not hungry. As for the food, most of it was pretty delicious. I had a burger that was forgettable but that might have been an exception. Their poutine was delicious and comes in all different varieties. They had a ploy waffle when we went that was delicious. Dessert was included and incredible - even though we were full, it was still the best coffee cake I've ever had. Would definitely go again in a heartbeat. read more

After camping at The Grand Isle CampGround the owner of the campsite George told us about Misty Meadows. He talked it up quite a bit but it was even better than expected! Our waiter Alex was very nice and fast getting us plenty of coffee refills and telling us about the town as he brought us our food. The food was ABSOLUTELY incredible!! There aren't enough words to describe how decadent the Nutella pancakes were! The portions were beyond generous and the entire staff made you feel very welcome! This place is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. When I first went here, I was impressed with all the country decor and friendly staff. They sell lots of homemade items, too. When I saw the menu at first it looked kind of plain to me. But after I ate there, I realized it is anything but plain! Their food is amazing. Made mostly with their own or local organic ingredients, their delicious home cooking may not be cholesterol free but I believe that it is actually good for you because the ingredients are so pure. And it's so fun to eat there that it just has to be good for you! Plus this place really caters to children. From the tractor pulled choo-choo train to the bunny you can pet to the wheel you can spin to win a prize, it's a favorite with our two girls. After you're done eating you can shop for all your friends and family for Christmas and birthdays because you'll find an array of unique homemade edible and craft type items. If you're just in the mood for a sweet treat, Chub makes desserts fresh every day and they sell fudge and ice cream. And Sharon's homemade bread is unbelievable. I'm not a huge fan of PB&J, but I find myself stealing a bite from the kids' plates and wishing I had ordered one! If there was anything to criticize (so that I don't sound like an overly obsequious fan!) I'd say they could do better with the coffee (kind of plain.) But I do love this place and I hope they'll always be here as they are the crown jewel of Northern Aroostook County. read more
