This is a review for late 2022 around Christmas…read more Tellers and 'bankers' at this branch are talking among each other about parties when you walk in. It is only down-hill from there. The teller James makes derogatory remarks about your business - then stutters pronouncing your name and mangling it, it seems almost intentionally. That is totally not okay and unnecessary. I have errands - do YOUR job competently. There is only 1 single, solitary teller for 4 open counter spots. Meanwhile there are 3 girls cackling and clucking around at the drive-thru. This place is mismanaged. In the back some 'staff' (sitting at a desk), is talking loudly and interruptingly about vacations! No oversight. Get a grip! This branch needs a REAL manager. Review: 3

I was sure I would be in there forever fixing some issues I had regarding my grandmother's account. Within seconds she was on it and I was back on my way. She was seriously fantastic and wicked smart! I later found out she was the manager. It was the best & easiest experience I've had in a very very long time. Thank you so much! :)

I have been banking at Lakeland Bank since I moved to Sussex County. I have always been pleased…read morewith their service. they are prompt even when overwhelmed with customers and are always pleasant and accommodating. I do, however, agree with the writer who commented about Melissa Simpson. I felt like a bad child in school who failed a test. She was never warm. She thought that we knew what she knew about banking and when we asked a question she smacked you down. I haven't seen her recently. I hope some other poor Lakeland Bank somewhere does not have her in their employ. Every other employee with whom I have had contact has been wonderful. Lakeland Bank will always be my bank of choice.

Melissa Simpson is incredibly rude, condescending, and unprofessional. I have had several negative…read moreinteractions with her throughout the years of banking with Lakeland Bank in Sussex and have now started to handle my business at different branch locations to avoid dealing with her. She has an attitude if you don't understand what she is saying (because we're not all bank employees and may not fully understand the terminology or process of things!) and has a horrible customer service demeanor when you ask questions or ask her to explain. During a stressful incident of potential fraudulent charges on my card, I certainly did not need the additional stress of a disgruntled employee!! I will continue to take my banking elsewhere!

This mortgage lender, Crown Home Mortgage, is either grossly incompetent, or something else more…read moreonerous is going on. They strung our buyer along for months and months, promising we were going to close, and then pushed the closing date back again and again for undetermined reasons. They kept demanding more and more of our buyer, which the buyer continued to provide to them. But even though we were all doing everything we could to close the sale, they just continued to play games and lie about the closing date and string us along. Someone needs to look into their practices to determine that they aren't using discriminatory lending practices. Our buyer ended up going elsewhere, to a wonderful lender who was able to close on our home in just 30 days. So obviously, our buyer was qualified, after all, to receive funding. Therefore, Crown Mortgage either has some really dire operational problems, or they are openly putting more onerous conditions on certain buyers than on others, which is specifically prohibited by fair housing laws. I would like an explanation from Crown Home Mortgage about why they played games with us in this manner. I'm mulling over a fair housing complaint if a good reason for their shenanigans can't be given.
