She is a one-woman show and she wants to identify your needs and pinpoint the areas that you need help with. She is very knowledgeable, and applies great pressure when asked or takes it back if it is too much pressure. Her table is heated so it feels really nice. She plays relaxing music and uses essential oils. She will ask if you are allergic to any oils. I felt such relief in my shoulders and back after1 the session with Colleen. I highly recommend seeing Colleen as she has been doing massage therapy for over 8 years!

Update: I and my partner left Stoughton Massage Therapy in October of 2021, when I was informed by…read morethe owner that one of our regular therapists was unavailable due to the fact that she was under quarantine. This same therapist was also working part-time as a bartender, and going to nursing school to become an in-home nurse. I was informed by the owner of the practice that she was not requiring any of the staff to be immunized. Since both I and my partner are immunocompromised, our medical teams advised us both that it was not safe for us to go back to this practice, so we did not. Unfortunately, there was no other in-network massage therapy practice that was accredited with my insurance company (Commonwealth Care Alliance) at that time, so we have gone for almost a year without these services. I needed an office that was both vaccinated and handicapped accessible. However, I am pleased to announce that there is now an additional accredited massage therapy facility in Stoughton that accepts Commonwealth Care Alliance! We have our first appointment with them set up for this week, and I will review them after a few visits. :) If you are concerned about vaccination status of your medical providers, you need a handicapped accessible office, and you are a CCA member, you now have another option!

I realized this after I tried to open the door and it was locked I peaked through the windows and it was empty. I walked around to the other side and found the place. The main room is bright and has a couple of comfy chairs. Marie greeted me and gave me a form to fill out. She was very pleasant. There was waterfall music playing in the background. The massage room was dimly lit as it should be and the massage table had very nice soft sheets. Marie did an excellent job giving me a massage. I felt completely relaxed when she was done. I would totally recommend this place for a great relaxing massage. Don't forget to check in on Yelp and get $10 off your first massage!

As soon as I entered I felt relaxed and calm. Everything about Lauren's business has a cool vibe. I loved my only prior massage experience I had while on vacation a few months ago, but the experience with Lauren topped it by a large margin. It was so relaxing and de-stressing that I nodded off a couple times. As soon as it was over I made another appointment. I can't wait to go back. I would recommend Lauren to anyone that ever wanted to get a massage, but was apprehensive. You won't believe what you were missing.

We were worried that they would press hard or dig deep but they gave us the perfect pressure & relaxing massage. I would give 5 stars to Tracy & Vicky . The place is 3 stars because of environmental factors & accessories. For example, the blankets were a bit itchy, the lotion could use some relaxing scent (lavender or eucalyptus or something soothing), there's no heated bed which would be soothing to lay on. So I give this place a 4-star for overall experience.

This was my second visit to JJ's, and unfortunately I would not recommend it…read more The first time I booked a deep tissue massage and requested medium pressure. It ended up being far too intense for me, but I assumed I had simply chosen the wrong type of massage and decided to give the business another chance. For my second visit, I specifically booked a Swedish massage and requested light pressure, knowing the pressure had been too much the first time. Despite that, the massage therapist repeatedly used deep pressure, and I was visibly uncomfortable. Throughout the session, she asked if the pressure was okay, and more than a dozen times I asked her to lighten it. I repeatedly explained that it was painful and that I couldn't relax when the pressure hurt. Instead of respecting my request, she argued that a Swedish massage "wouldn't help my muscles." I wasn't there for a diagnosis or to be told what treatment I should receive--I booked a Swedish massage because my goal was to relax. That goal was completely missed because my repeated requests were ignored. On top of that, she asked me more than 10 times why I don't come in more often. I kept my answers short, and eventually stopped responding because I don't enjoy making conversation during a massage, especially when I'm repeatedly being questioned about my attendance. A massage should be a relaxing experience where the client's preferences and comfort come first. Ignoring repeated requests about pressure and continuing unwanted conversation made this experience incredibly disappointing. It was a waste of money, and I won't be returning.

She completely skipped my lower back, and my neck (which was stuck and the main reason I went) felt like nothing was done. I left feeling no relief at all and very disappointed. On top of that, I was pressured into giving a tip even though I was unsatisfied with the service. This was a very poor experience and I would not recommend this place if you need real therapeutic work.
