You know sometimes it's really nice to get out of the city for an experience and this was one of…read morethose times. The Austin English Tea Company brings all of the aesthetics, ambiance, and flavors you'd expect in a proper British tea room. Spent a lovely Sunday Funday morning with friends celebrating Galentine's Day (albeit a day later) with fresh and yummy tea sandwiches, scones, clotted cream, mini, quiche, cream puffs, macarons, Prosecco, and more. We had four pots of tea: Classic English Breakfast, Earl Gray, Peach White, and Coconut Oolong. It goes without saying that the English Brekkie and Earl Gray were perfectly brewed and delicious. The Peach White and Coconut Oolong were also perfectly brewed. The Peach White was fragrant and flavorful. Same for the Coconut Oolong though it was more fragrant with a less robust flavor. Still delicious. The tea sandwiches were served on perfectly fresh and soft white bread. Cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches are always my favorite, without question. The Strawberry Devonshire Scone was to die for! I really enjoyed the heart-shaped Rosemary biscuit that had a hint of parmesean flavor as well. The apricot Stilton cheese was flavorful and exactly how you want a Stilton to taste. Service was outstanding. The decor was brilliant, absolute perfection. The entire experience was reminiscent of tea rooms I've visited in England and Ireland. Looking forward to another visit soon! Note: the tea room is located inside Michelle's Patisserie in a shopping plaza---once you enter the tea room you're totally transported to another time and place of elegance, tea, & sweets.

The table was decorated beautifully. You pick three pots of tea and are brought a tower of different finger foods and a cheese plate. All of the ladies kept saying to each other how good everything tastes... how pretty everything was! We had the best time. The quiche and the hummus tea sandwiches were amazing. The scones were divine. We all loved the peach tea, and the jasmine tea, along with the Earl Gray. We had the best time. We all agreed that next time we would bring our mother's and daughters with us. This place is a gem !! We had the most amazing bridal shower at Austin English Tea Company. I don't think it's acceptable to not have actual ceilings and call yourself a wedding venue. I don't know why they are dragging their feet on finishing the ceilings, but it's a real drawback and I'd be willing to bet it's the reason some people don't sign on with them (myself, for one).

VENUE REVIEW - CASA BLANCA in ROUND ROCK, TX…read morehttps://www.casablancatexas.com We had our wedding ceremony and reception here. The physical venue itself gets 5 : the whole place is BEAUTIFUL from the greenery outside to the ceiling of the inside, and we had guests tell us how great everything looked and that we made a great choice. Now, where the 3 comes in : their customer service is ATROCIOUS. We had an original coordinator, they got let go, so we got Cynthia. She is a piece of work. So rude. Not helpful. She didn't even let us know that the original person got let go OR introduce herself. It always took a lot more time than it should've to hear back from anyone about anything. In the time I booked it, to the wedding day, they had two rounds of entire staff changes, turnover, what have you. I'm a nurse, so I understand being short-staffed and always having a revolving door, so I didn't really take that "excuse" very well. If it wasn't for the customer service leaving such a sour taste in our mouths and Cynthia causing so much additional stress, Casa Blanca the venue gets 5 picture credit : https://www.lanaslensphotography.comVENIW
