After…read moreinspecting it,they told us we needed a completely new roof.We trusted their expertise and spent thousands of dollars replacing the entire roof.Unfortunately,the leak in the exact same spot never went away.Over the last two years, weve had them out multiple times.First, they said the issue might be our AC unit in the attic.Then they said it was a roof boot that needed to be replaced,so they replaced it.When we called about the interior ceiling damage from the ongoing leak,they said they would call to schedule repairs.I never received a call,so I followed up the next day.I was told they had called,but I had no missed calls or voicemail.They scheduled me for a weekday,which didnt work with my schedule,so the next available Saturday wasn't for another 2 months.In the meantime,the leak continued.They came back out,found wet areas under the shingles,and replaced some shingles.In my opinion,there should not be wet spots under a roof that is only 2 years old.When the leak persisted,they returned again and said it was actually the AC.They adjusted some piping in the attic and replaced even more shingles "just in case."We also had our AC technician come out to repair the AC drain.A few weeks later,our ceiling collapsed.When I contacted them, they tried to have us pay for half of the ceiling repairs because they now claim the damage wasnt caused by the roof.However, they were the ones who originally diagnosed the problem as needing a new roof.If the leak was caused by the AC all along,we never should have been told we needed a full roof replacement in the first place.To make it worse,despite the collapsed ceiling,they would not move our repair appointment up,so we were left living with a hole in our ceiling while waiting for our scheduled repair date.A repair man came out on August 1st around 5:00 PM to patch the hole.He stayed until after midnight but did not finish the repair and never came back to complete the work.On August 19th, I called again and spoke with a woman.I explained the situation and was told that the owner would be calling me.I never received a call back.I called AGAIN on August 30th to follow up and spoke with Megan. She asked me to send pictures and videos of the damage and situation.I sent Megan the requested pictures and videos by text that same day.I heard nothing back, so I followed up again on September 7th requesting an update.Once again, I never received a response.As of now,we are left with an unfinished ceiling.The work that was started to repair the ceiling was not completed,and the portion that was done was so poorly done that it now needs to be redone.We are essentially left with two options:get our attorneys involved or pay out of our own pocket to have another contractor come in,undo the incomplete/poorly completed work,restart and finish the ceiling repair.This has been an incredibly frustrating and stressful experience.We paid thousands of dollars for a new roof because we trusted their diagnosis.Two years later,we have experienced the same leak,multiple conflicting explanations,repeated repair attempts,extensive ceiling damage,a collapsed ceiling,an unfinished and unacceptable ceiling repair,and repeated failures to communicate or follow through.I understand that diagnosing roof leaks can be difficult and that sometimes the source of a leak isnt immediately obvious.However, after replacing an entire roof,making multiple repair attempts,providing several conflicting explanations for the same ongoing leak, and then failing to properly complete the resulting interior repairs or communicate with us,Im extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled.At this point, the biggest frustration is not simply that there was a leak,its the lack of accountability,follow through,communication,and resolution. We trusted this company with a major investment in our home, and we are now left with an unfinished ceiling and the additional expense and stress of figuring out how to get the work properly completed.
