Rufino worked with us to design a whole house renovation and additions on a midcentury modern gem…read morethat essentially hadn't been updated since being built in 1952, besides a kitchen refresh in the 1980s. From the start, he was easy to communicate with and work with. He walked through our current house so we could talk through design/function that we liked or didn't like about our current living situation, asked us for our design inspiration with likes/dislikes, and then designed a home that is even better than we had imagined. Importantly, he thought about function, not just appearance, and how we would really use spaces based on how we live our life as a family. The 3D renderings were very helpful in visualizing the spaces, and they also gave us things to be excited about during the process. He always responded quickly and professionally, and he really took our ideas into account. Living in our house now is like a dream. We feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful (and functional) space. Rufino is a true artist. We don't plan on leaving this house anytime soon, but if we had the opportunity to design another home, we would 100% reach out to Rufino again.

We liked the work so much, we had Weinmann Home Improvement remodel our kitchen. Again, Rob's attention to detail and craftsmanship left us with an amazing finished product. Our friends have said things like "they did a BEAUTIFUL job," "this is how I want my kitchen to look," and "your kitchen turned out amazing." While we don't have any projects on the horizon, I know who I'm calling when I do.

This company has been nothing short of amazing to work for. They actually offer competitive pay,…read morealongside decent benefits and a ton of unspoken perks here and there. 40 hours a week and work is ALWAYS guaranteed. Unfortunately there's always a few people who feel they're above the rules and company as a whole and need to be weeded out. This company, from my standpoint, just wants to see the job done in the safest/most efficient way possible. They have no problem sending extra men to get the job done, and if the job is unsafe we usually don't deliver until the job site is made safe for us. They pay you based off experience, and even if you have none, as long as you pit your best foot forward they'll appreciate it and you will be rewarded. With quite a few jobs under my belt, this has easily been the most fair/rewarding of them all. The company also gives you a TON of chances to fix yourself up before they let you go, so if you can't stop smoking or complaining that's on you. Everyone is also expected to pull their own weight to a certain degree. This being a labor intensive job means that there will be a fair amount of lifting, pulling, and pushing. You're not expected to be Superman, but you also can't put every single window, big or small, on the blue cart because of your inability to lift. Standing around your phone and then latching on to someone else's work does not suffice. The management is ALWAYS around to talk and can usually give you advice to solve your problems. The supervisor is also very fair across the board. There's also no secret benefits to being a POC because they are vastly outnumbered. If you'd like to come work here, please come see for yourself. It's easy to make a disgruntled review when you've never had accountability. Threatening to badmouth us to your "local" community isn't the way to go either. I've been with MDW long enough to see that it'll be worth it to be here in the long run. The customers are happy, Us(the employees) are happy and everything's working out.

Two people came out to install the opener and after looking at my garage door for less than 2 minutes said that it couldn't be installed and I needed to buy a side mounted opener because it would be a lot easier. He told me once I had that opener to call the office not Lowe's and they would come back out. The side-mounted opener was almost three times the cost of the one I purchased and luckily for me I have enough knowledge of this trade to know he wasn't correct. So I called Lowe's to send another company out who was able to install the opener in about an hour with no issue. After digging in with Lowe's a bit, I learned that contractors receive some of their pay even if a job cannot be completed so these individuals simply did not want to complete a task that was more difficult than average. My guess is they simply went to lunch instead. I would not use this company to even screw in a lightbulb, they clearly can't be trusted and only have their best interest at hand.
