I met with him first thing this morning. He explained that he normally prefers not to work on gates or projects that were originally built and installed by someone else, which I completely understood. I explained that I simply didn't want to deal with the original installer again, and Sam was willing to step in and help. He worked incredibly efficiently and kept me informed throughout the entire process. I had to leave before he finished, but Sam continued communicating with me, sending videos and pictures of his work and explaining everything he had done. He also took the time to walk my wife through everything in person while she was home. I'm extremely grateful for Sam's quick response time, communication, honesty, professionalism, and quality of work. It's refreshing to work with someone who does what he says he's going to do and keeps you informed along the way. The door handle and lock also stopped working soon after. Now the door is so broken it won't even close, the wood has warped, and the paint has been scraped off by improper installation. The metal frame fell out of the cinder lock wall as well. This gate was awful from day one and I want people to know so they don't have to go through what we have - a very expensive mistake. Two stars because they did try to remedy the paint when we first told them about it but the work was still awful and gate didn't even last a year.
