I quickly found out there are no Ubers, Lyfts, or anything of the like in the area to pick me up and take me to Enterprise in Harrisonburg. I looked up taxi services and rolled the dice on Front Royal Taxi; my call was answered on the first ring and a taxi was quickly dispatched to save me. My driver, Casey (or KC) was so kind, informative (he gave me the name of a great mechanic) and waited for me at Enterprise until I had the rental keys in my hand. 10/10 recommend!

She's personable, professional, has a great sense of humor and is just overall amazing! Treatment. All of the places I checked with had canned replies. Only Elite Excursions replied with a personal response specifically to me and my inquiry. Accommodating. We needed to make changes and Kim was accommodating. She even offered up suggestions that helped our trip and experience. Price. She was competitive in price. I learned a loooong time ago that just shopping price is a really bad idea and leads to disappointment and actually a higher price overall. In summery, I cannot recommend Elite Excursions WV enough.

He kept in contact with me from the day before to confirm the time, to the day of, giving me a play by play that he was on his way and then reported to me when he had the guests in his limo. He texted me when he was back at the venue for the return trip. He also let my guests know that he could come back earlier if they needed. The limo is a little dated but Landon made up for it with his great hospitality, communication and low rates! If we need a limo again, we'll definitely use Famous Limo!

We managed to avoid a parking ticket. Parking here is $20 and it's valid for three days. That's not at all reasonable but it's a small town and busy with tourists who are willing to pay. It is at the lower elevation and to the north of the town. When we visited, it was unattended and there were no staff inside. The restrooms were open and in decent shape, located on the west side of the building. It is a long building with 3-4 large rooms made of light wood with historical pictures on the walls. Parking is available in the lot that surrounds the station, though it depends on what is open at the time and how busy the area is. Many other visitors noted in their reviews that the building is not open at night and operates on a very limited schedule. A little research shows that Amtrak and MARC trains both serve this station. Throughout the day my party and I observed trains passing through without stopping, giving visitors a sense of how active the rail line still is. Overall, it is worth seeing for its historic look, but travelers should plan ahead since services are limited and the station may not be staffed. Up the hill to the south is the town and down the hill to the east visitors can view the Armory grounds, River overlook, and John Brown's fort.
