CHM brought in a well-qualified appraiser, a local title attorney, and talked us through the various fees. Kearny, the owner, personally handled our mortgage and was always available by phone. He explained what we needed to do at each step of the process. When we decided to refi, we went back to Carolina Home Mortgage, and they were a pleasure to work with again. I had gathered some paperwork needed to bring down to their office soon after arriving home from work. It was late in the evening and I couldn't find the hours posted. I drove to the office, got out and found the door locked. I was about to get back in my car when an associate came to the front door invited me in to take the needed paperwork. Here is the kicker though, she didn't just take my paperwork. She had me sit down to discuss the process, time-frames and what was further needed on my end.
