Sorry for the horrible review. Our family was vacationing in Houghton Lake a couple of weeks ago…read moreand my son ended up with a fever. I took him there on a Tuesday and waited forever in the lobby. I was very understanding of that. Apparently, there was 1 doctor on duty. He was diagnosed with strep. There was a patient having difficulties in the room next to me so the doctor couldn't answer my questions and had me on my way. He said somebody would call in my prescription at the local Walmart. I went to Walmart and picked up the prescription and they were chewables. I specifically requested liquid. I knew my son wouldn't take chewables hence the reason I asked for liquid. Who prescribes a 3 year old nasty chewables even after the parent requested liquid? I couldn't get it changed and attempted to give my son his needed medication...which he vomited up every time. So, Wednesday the process started with trying to get a liquid. I called the dr. and explained. Went to the pharmacy Wednesday afternoon. No prescription. Went Wednesday night...no prescription. Thursday...no prescription. Called the dr. again and they told me that he was with patients all day and he didnt get a chance to call my script! Hello, it would have taken 5 minutes to call this in. So, my 3 year old with a fever of 103 went 2 days with a inconsistent dose of medicine for Strep. Friday...still no meds so I called them very irritated! I am trying EVERYTHING to get my son to take this chewable tablet. I ground it up in yogurt, I made it into a liquid (which it doesnt disintegrate very well). The one doctor staff still had not called in my script and we were on our way home at that point. We stopped at Walmart and thought by some chance it was there. I called the office yet once again and gave the receptionist our home pharmacy info because at that point, it needed to be called in there for when we get home. Got home Friday evening...STILL NO SCRIPT at our home pharmacy! Saturday morning, the script was finally called in that morning after yet another phone call to the doctor. Uncalled for.
