PLEASE read this before you consider using this lender. This was the absolute worst and unethical experience, and hoping this review can help others avoid this unethical lender. After being approved for a loan and signing a contract on my condo, I was repeatedly provided with misleading and inconsistent information from my loan officer, which created unnecessary confusion and eroded my confidence in this lender's handling of my loan. In addition, she failed to complete basic tasks such as providing the agreed-upon weekly loan status updates to my realtor. After asking for finalized loan terms week after week, the lender refused to provide them to me claiming it was a "private lender." Then, 4 days before closing, the lender said that they wanted to raise my downpayment to 25% instead of 20%, and still no finalized loan terms. Of course, this raised red flags and I finally sought out a new lender, and thank goodness I did. After obtaining a new lender, I then learned how unethical and abnormal their business practice and this entire loan was. Extremely shameful way of conducting business and I would encourage anyone who is considering using First Choice Lending to look elsewhere. read more
