They do everything you would expect from a fish and chip shop but if you go its worth trying the extra large fish because it really is huge! One tip I would say is that unless you are a potato addict, small chips is ample for the hungriest person! The staff are friendly and wear nice clean uniforms and the shop is consistenly clean. The best thing about HF&C is their batter. Unlike most chip shop batter, which really just seems to be there to blandly soak up as much grease as possible, the batter at HF&C is as light as can be, and incredibly crispy. Also, I don't know what they put in it, but it has a truly delightful flavour. The chips are usually great, especially if you happen to arrive at the beginning of a new batch. Prices have gone up lately and it is no longer a particularly cheap meal, but it is so good that we make a visit at least once a month.
