My 9 month old fell while learning to walk (don't they all?) and hit his face. Given there was some blood and he has 3 baby teeth, I wanted him to be examined by a dentist. He was fine, and I will forever be grateful for this practice--from front desk to dentist--for squeezing my child in and answering ALL of my questions during the exam. This all happened during Covid, so it is worth noting that many precautions were in place. Everyone was fully masked, sanitizer was available, and plexiglass was at the front desk. The waiting room was child fun and super clean. And we were in and out in under 30 minutes (including an x-ray!). While only 1 parent could be in back because of Covid, we totally understand. This place is wonderful, and I'm so happy, as a first time parent, to find a pediatric dentist for my little one. Take it from the professor, A+ all around. Thank you! read more

Clean environment, nice people but not very experienced. my daughters crown came off shortly after they installed it. tried to charge us to re attach it. Didn't bother to encourage us to see an orthodontist when she clearly needed some attention with her underbite. Thankfully we went to our regular family dentist who of course reattached her crown at no charge and sent us to a great ortho who is taking care of her alignment. read more

We've been in here a couple times. The ladies who work here have been the sweetest. After this visit though, I won't be back. My 6 yo son has two cavities and the DR pressed HARD for crowns. I opted for fillings anyways. I could tell that's not what they wanted to do but they made the appointment. On the day of my appointment I was late, but when I called they said I could come in still (maybe this is what stemmed the behavior?) When I got there they gave my son gas and the dr came in an numbed up my son. My son didn't even flinch, perfect patient. After waiting for the numbing to take, the dr came back in an placed a big silicone/rubber sucker/separator in his mouth: "the jellyfish". My son gagged and took it out right away. The dr got annoyed and placed it back in. My son made some noises and reached his hand up. The assistant told him to put his hand down, he started to, then the dr said "no let him take touch it" and that was the drs golden ticket. No other warning, he turned the air machine off and said he needs crowns or to be sedated next time. The doctor got an attitude and said my son "made it very clear he wasn't going to let him do fillings". Okay, If you wanted to go to lunch, just say that. You made it clear from the beginning you didn't want to do fillings. The doctor could have let me talk to my child about letting him keep it in his mouth but instead numbed and gassed him and wasted both our time for nothing. The problem I have is the dr being so immediately snarky when he's the one who told my son it was okay to touch it. If he didn't, my son would not have touched it again because the lady told him not to. He could have got my sons undecided attention and explained that and told my son it would be a wasted day. The tv is on the kids aren't paying attention, he didn't even give the kid a chance. My son is extremely well behaved in dental settings, my parents have dental offices and my brother is a dentist. We come here because it's for kids specifically. But due to the drs attitude and lack of care that he injected and gassed my son for no reason- we won't be back. I avoid anything that's not completely necessary going into my child's body. This is so upsetting to me, I can't believe I even let this happen. Maybe the doctor doesn't have kids and doesn't realize how precious and balanced their tiny bodies are, but making my son go through numbing and gas then finding an excuse to not do the procedure is disgusting. If my child was crazy or a hassle I get it, but my child was not. The doctor was rude and being lazy. My recommendation to the doctor is if there's a last warning make it known - tell the parent and have the child look at you while you tell the child or let the parent tell the child the seriousness. Saying "oh you have to keep this in or we can't work on your teeth" in a kid-like tone while forcing it back into the mouth while the child is watching tv is not really it. Then don't tell the child they can touch stuff then punish them And call it quits with an attitude. I regret this entire process. I hope the doctor learns how to control his attitude. read more

My son loves coming to the dentist to get his shimmy teeth cleaned. For a young boy that's 3 years old he love it. He loves the staff and they are just wonderful. Wish my parents took me to a place this great as a young child. read more

5 stars! I needed to switch my children's dentist & decided on first bite. So happy I did! First, they were able to give me an appointment with 5 of my children in the same appointment. The office is super clean, they disinfect everything once that area is used, which I appreciate so much. They have Disney + on and a cute set up for a play corner in the waiting area. My kids names were on a letter board to welcome them. So sweet! With bringing my five kids in at once, I, of course was expecting to be there a while....and to my surprise we hardly had a wait, got all five through their visits in a timely manner at the same time not feeling rushed, and was so attentive to my kids dental issues. They we're so friendly, and explained everything with patience. My youngest had his first appointment and Dr. Manuel was so kind with him. Took her time if I had any questions, and made his first visit easy! The front desk, to the entire dental staff and Dr. Manuel were so nice. Each child gets a hygiene bag and gets to pick out a small toy! My son said while walking out "I can't wait to come back!" read more

I love this dental office! Dr. Peter is awesome and is very attentive and hands on. My kids aren't afraid to come here and they really look forward to the treasure box prize at the end of their visit for being good patients. All of my friends take their kids here too. One of my kids had an dental emergency and they took us in right away. Dr. Peter was very patient and calm, soothing my scared son. He took great care of him! The staff is wonderful and I have no complaints. It's a very clean office and I can see them sanitizing and cleaning after every patient. I highly recommend this dental office. read more

I have been meaning to write a review for the past few years! I am a dentist and I take my own kids to Dr. Peter Nguyen because I trust him 100% with my kiddos! I refer all my kids patients from my office that needs extra TLC to be seen by Dr Nguyen. My kids have been his patients since he opened his beautiful office! Dr Nguyen is an amazing doctor. He is funny, and thorough and cares about his work and patients. His office is so clean and his staff are so wonderful. My kids always leave his office happy and is always happy to go to their appointments. My son is usually super anxious, but with Dr. Nguyen, he is calm as can be! As you can see from the pictures, my kids have had several treatments with Dr Nguyen. read more

The staff here are always friendly and extremely patient with my two toddlers. The cancellation policy is ridiculous! They had already upset me when I took my son in for his appointment a couple of weeks ago. When I provided the insurance card at the appointment, they told me I had to provide the info two days before the appointment. Mind you, I received no email/text/call requesting this info. Then I tried to reschedule my daughter's appointment over 24 hours before and they stated this would count as a cancellation. When I asked what that meant, I was told that if I ever cancelled again with less than 48 hours notice, my kids could only be seen on a walk in basis and that if I did want to schedule an appointment there would be a $50 fee. We're better off finding a new dentist office. read more

My daughter is 5 and has some discoloration on her top two teeth so we decided to bring her in for her 1st dentist appointment. Her dad made her the appointment so I didn't know what to expect when we got there. As soon as we got there I was impressed and this dentist office exceeded my expectations on every level. The whole staff was awesome. Check in staff was SO friendly. The woman offered me water on the way in and out of the office. Dental assistants were AMAZING with kids. They were WAY more patient than I am and so kind and respectful to my children. They even played my daughter her favorite movie and made her feel comfortable. The doctor was awesome as well. He was more interested in the children's health and wellbeing than making money off of them. He told us that she does have two cavities but also informed us that she wouldn't need fillings because her adult teeth are coming in very soon. Most dentists would have probably tried making more money off of us but he was really honest and informative. They were able to squeeze her brother in right after for an appointment as well! We really enjoyed our first visit at the dentist. read more

missed two appointments unfortunately due to high risk pregnancy was told my child wouldn't be able to schedule a appointment and would have to come in on a "walk in" basis. Came as a walk-in and was turned away because doctor wasn't in. Would've been nice if the MA communicated when doctor would be out so patients aren't wasting time coming in when they're out. What an inconvenience! On to the next.. cancellation policy sucks read more

Disorganized office. Scheduled appointments twice for my kids and they cancelled them both only days prior after realizing they were Monday appointments and there was no doctor available on Mondays. Didn't accept responsibility for dropping the ball twice. Found a different children's dentist in Inspirada that has been awesome. read more

What is so sad about this review is that they are good dentists, they are very very clean BUT because I had questions about my 7 year old baby girls teeth and the treatment, they called me back to say they can no longer great my 7 year Olds teeth because mom had questions and got a bit firm with the young untrained staff in the front office that couldn't answer my questions. I simply asked why my daughter had to be sedated for a cavity in her baby tooth that will eventually fall out...if the tooth is going to fall out why can't we just treat it differently more sensitive to her little body instead of putting all these drugs into her little body for a baby tooth that will be coming out soon. They don't like to be questioned, all they care about is getting paid. Sad because you think they care about your kids and they don't. read more

I have 3 children going to this location, we started during Covid. There cancellation policy is ridiculous, you must give them 48 hour notice are you will be marked as a cancelled appointment. They make you go on a walk appointments only after 2 missed appointments. First time we had to cancel one of my children was sick and the second time we all had Covid. Which dropped me to walk in only, when I spoke with Representative about this she ensured that walk in was basically the same as appointments, I wouldn't have any issues I can call day of and see if they have availability and appointments set by doctor will be by appointment. I had a pre schedule appt for all 3 of my kids, at a time my son is now in school. I called a week prior to see if I can change appt time to later. I was told I couldn't change appt time to later and since we are on walk in only we can not been seen at 4pm( their latest appointment) and or on Saturday's. I advised my son is in school he can not miss school, and I wasn't told that we would not be able to be seen at those time and why wouldn't schedules be made for school age children during appropriate times. There was no resolution or understanding. This place is not for families with multiple children, if 1 of your children is sick it will count against all children enrolled as a cancelled appt. 48 hours does not include weekends if you call after 12 on Saturday and or a Sunday to cancel you cannot speak with anyone to cancel appt and it is still held against you. read more

I really had high hopes for this place. I took my 4 kids here for a long overdue dental visit. The office staff were amazing, friendly, good with kids, and patient. Sadly, the actual dentist was less than pleasant, he was condescending, rude, accusatory, and actually scolded my 10 year old daughter who was teary eyed and scared in the chair and trying to get up because she had questions she was trying to ask him about what was going to happen. She was desperate to get the answers to ease her worry but he dismissed her, rudely, and then proceeded to tell her not to interrupt him or any adult while they were talking!!! Then, due to the fact that she was emotional and scared, he said there was no way he would even "waste his time" trying any of the in office sedation options available for her cavity fillings (2 of them) because of how emotional she was (she was fine with the hygienist btw, it was clear he had no patience for her or kids in general it seemed, and made her feel uncomfortable once he got there) and that the only way she could be treated is at the surgery center where they would put her under general anesthesia and would intubate her!!!! He and the staff tried convincing me that this was normal and he does it all the time!!! What?! I'm sorry but it seems highly unnecessarily invasive to me to decide, without even considering trying anything else first, to put a 10 year old girl (who you met once, for all of 15 minutes, who was crying a little, scared, and asking some questions) under General Anesthesia and shove an intubation tube down her throat to fill 2 cavities!!!! Maybe he just didn't like us (I def got that vibe from the start) I mean we are a family of 6 and I get that it may have been overwhelming for him but know your limits and don't schedule more kids than you can handle. Having 4 young children, I've seen many Pediatric doctors in numerous specialties and I've got to be honest, I was shocked that he works with children at all, the impatience, scolding, and quite obvious disdain was scary, sad, and the most uncomfortable I have felt with any pediatric provider. read more

My 6 year old had very bad experience's at a previous dentist. He was scared to take x-rays and scared to have any work done at all. As soon as we walked into First bite I already felt and saw a difference. My child was relaxed, and loved that they played Disney. The nurse whose name I didn't get was great , helped calm my son, talked to him on his level and made him feel comfortable. The dentist was amazing and just as patient and understanding, which I really appreciated. Although my son is not an easy patient, they understood and worked with him. Thank you First Bite!! read more

Dr. Nguyen is one of the most caring and patient dentist ever! It takes a lot to work with kids, especially when they are uncooperative. I just wish he wasn't so far away but I'm willing to travel the extra distance to have my son seen by Dr. Nguyen :) read more

Dr.Peter is great men. They has tv on each chair. Kids r able to relax. And cute interior.

I took my 2 year old son for his first dentist appointment a few days ago. We saw Dr. Nguyen - his bedside manner and skills were impeccable! He took the time to explain everything and he was very patient with my fussy toddler. I will be back with my 9 month old son too! The office is extra clean and immaculate, and the color aesthetic is on point. The entire office staff, including the dental assistant/hygienist and receptionist at the front were very polite and customer friendly. The best part was that we were in and out quickly, while experiencing a high level of professional, quality service. I highly recommend this dentist and office for your child's visit. Such an amazing experience!!! Thank you Dr. Nguyen and all of the staff at First Bite! read more

Horrible cancellation policy that is not clearly communicated and office staff is unorganized.

Excellent place !! All kids should go there. They has tv on each room. So kids will behave well while doing treatment.

We just moved here in Feb and after getting insurance got referred by our pediatrician to First Bite and I couldn't be happier. The dentist and his staff are wonderful and friendly. The before and after care with my daughter was fantastic. She Deff cared like a mom and made sure my girl was ok. I couldn't ask for a better experience. Glad we found a dental home. read more

I can not thank Dr. Nguyen and his staff enough for taking care of my son and his dental needs yesterday. It was his first trip to the dentist and unfortunately, he had to have some work done due to some cavities. I called his office at 8:00am and he got us in at 10am the same day. We were welcomed with a nice greeting sign with my son's name on it and smiling, happy staff. They even had a little play area to keep my son occupied while filling out paperwork. They were soo good and patient when taking his X-rays and made it as fun as possible. It was determined he needed some crowns and they were able to bring us back later in the afternoon so I didn't have to take another day off work. Dr. Nguyen was hands down the best. He explained everything he was doing before he did it and was so gentle. He was truly amazing. My sons teeth look fantastic and like new. The fun little price closet for the kids was the perfect ending touch. Thank you again Dr. Nguyen and staff for everything. I HIGHLY recommended First Bite Dental for all your kiddos dental needs. read more
