We felt very cared for and any questions or concerns I had the dental assistant & dentist quickly cleared up for me! My daughter had an accident to the face and caused two wiggly teeth. The office was able to squeeze us in for an afternoon appointment for a check up and X-ray. Over the phone and in person the staff is very friendly, personable, and professional. The office is super clean and kid friendly with books, toys, and a movie playing in the waiting area. They have a TV for the kiddos to watch their choice of movie while in the patient chair! Dr. Peter was very warm and informative - he even assessed my daughter's history and gave advice not related to her accident. Dr. Peter Nguyen is the best dentist. This office is extremely professional, the entire staff is friendly and helpful to answer any questions/concerns. It is obvious that they make cleanliness a priority in their office as well as making sure the families feel comfortable and have a great experience. My 3 children love going to the dentist. They have been coming here every 6 months for the past 2 years. My eldest has had a few procedures, and Dr. Nguyen has always made her feel safe and informed about what's happening. Their favorite part about each visit is choosing a small prize and getting a goody bag with floss, toothpaste, and a toothbrush, which reminds us it's time to toss their old one out. I've been taking my son here since he was 2YO he turns 5 in a few months. They have always been so helpful! My son doesn't mind going to the dentist, he actually looks forward to it. I also love how they call and send text messages to remind you of your appointment. this dental office caters to children... some pediatric offices give no comfort to children so they hate going. The lobby has a little play area which keeps him entertained. The staff is extremely friendly when they work on your kid from cleanings to x-rays. I would have to say the receptionist or whoever calls could be a little more friendly so it's consistent (or maybe I'm just spoiled by the other employees because they are so perky and extremely friendly. They aren't mean/rude at all just to be clear... just not as perky). Giselle worked on my son and she did a phenomenal job! She took care of my son and helped me get out of there on time so I can make it to my next appointment. The actual dentist is very through and explains what/why things need to be done. I highly recommend bringing your kids here and giving them a try you won't be looking for another dentist. PS- at the end of every visit your kids get a prize :) read more

I took my son to first bite pediatric, and it was a wonderful experience for him. From the moment you walk in you were greeted very kindly. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable in the waiting room is very nice and design for kids to really be at ease the entire staff Know how to treat kids kindly in order for them to feel at ease to keep the parents updated on every step of the way so that they can keep you ease. The doctor did a great job while performing minor root canal surgery on my son he kept me updated the entire process. I did not see my son flinch once when getting his shots that is how good the doctor is I highly recommend his place to all parents. read more

Watch your children's fingers at this place! They almost broke my three year old little girls finger when putting the chair up! She screamed bloody murder! The lady took her time getting her finger out of the chair too!! The dentist barely cared. Strolled in briefly and handed us an ice pack. Meanwhile we are both traumatized. I was holding back tears. Never heard my daughter scream like that ever! I had to take her to the emergency room to have her finger x-rayed! It wasn't broken thank goodness but it was bloody and mangled for a couple of weeks after. She will probably be traumatized of dentists offices for the rest of her life! What kind of pediatric dentist doesn't check where little kids fingers are before they push up a chair that has the power to crush and break fingers?!?! We will never be back! Horrible place. Ok .. today we went to the dentist for the first time for my 2year old. The lady in the phone said it would cost $225 with x rays but that she probably wouldn't need them. So I assumed it would be cheaper without x rays. When I got there that is the price with or without x rays. Which seems ridiculous. Then our appointment was at 4 PM and we waited 40 minutes to see the doctor. We waited 30 minutes in the lobby. Once the doctor came in. I was sitting in a normal chair and my daughter laying on top of me on a blue pad, not a dentist chair and he looked in her mouth for 30 seconds brushed her teeth And that was it all for $225 and then being 40 minutes late for a 10 minute appointment. The doctor was informative and nice, but overall, I will not be going back. read more

I LOVED going to the dentist when I was kid. I'm not sure why, but I just did. And now that I've found First Bite, my kids love the dentist too! I stress to both of my kids how important it is to have healthy teeth. I even show them pictures of rotten teeth so they know the consequences of not brushing and flossing. I want them to have the best smile possible and that starts with regular visits to the dentist starting at a young age. I did a cross reference with my insurance and Yelp, and now here I am writing this 5 star review. The ladies working the front desk are very nice. We never wait long to be called back. The hygienists were friendly, patient and my kids were very perceptive to them. They were gentle with the cleanings. Not once did my kids flinch or complain. The chocolate flavored toothpaste they use to clean their teeth is definitely helpful. As for Dr. Nguyen, he is awesome!! You can tell he really loves his job. He's very thorough with his exams and discusses any and all concerns. The office itself is very clean and modern. I feel super safe bringing my kids here during these crazy Covid times. The kids get a goodie bag with a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss and other cool things. And of course, they get to pick a prize from the epic prize cabinet. I love that they do this. When I was little, I remember being so excited to pick a prize from the treasure box after dental visits. So I know the excitement my kids feel when they pick a prize too for doing so well. Be sure to check your statements after each visit. Our first and last visit to this dentistry resulted in them fraudulently claiming that they performed a service but they did not. They were supposed to apply a fluoride treatment to our child but they didn't. We didn't realize this until later in the day, so we called to discuss. The receptionist insisted that they did apply the fluoride so we asked them to confirm with the dentist. They called back a short time later to tell us that the dentist confirmed the treatment. We know for a fact that they did not, but ended the call stating that we would give them the benefit of the doubt and be more observant next time. The following week we received a form letter stating that they were dropping us as a patient due to a breakdown in the doctor/patient relationship. We at no time were rude or disrespectful, but I guess they didn't like us calling them out on their fraudulent practices. We have reported them to the insurance company as, of course, they billed for this procedure that they didn't provide. read more

Time for a dental check up! First Bite Pediatric Dentistry is a clean facility with a great staff from the front reception to the dentist! As new patients we were given the forms to fill through text so when we arrived, all we needed to provide was ID and we were all set. They also had a cute letter board welcoming first time patients in the waiting area, as well as a movie playing and toys/books available. After a short wait, we were moved to the back, went over any allergies or medical history (only 1 parent allowed) where they began working on X rays. We were moved to the back where they began by setting up a movie on Disney +, adjusting her chair, taking photos, flossing and cleaning before bringing in the doctor who was extremely kind and accommodating. The doctor informed us of a few concerns and treatment options and was very thorough and detailed with our options, advice for us to care at home, and was extremely nice with my five year old! Before leaving, we left with a goodie bag for her and a prize, next appointments and treatments booked and a great experience! Would highly recommend. Been bringing my baby here for the past 2 years and the staff is so amazing each visit. This last visit, my baby got upgraded to the big kid room and had his first cleaning/polish service. The dental assistant was so sweet to try and explain each tool she needed to use on him and allowed him to feel each tool so he could feel comfortable and safe. I believe because of the color of my skin the receptionist presented me as "angry" because I questioned a policy about providing a credit card as a "backup" in case insurance doesn't pay. And refused service if I did not provide a Credit Card and sign a document authorizing any charge. Refused service. I signed and wrote a note on the paperwork. My child was seen. The dental assistant and the dentist were very professional. Made follow up appointment for six months. No problem. Next day I get a phone message from doctor. Explaining policy and at the end of phone call say "being respectful to the staff is important. We are a pediatric clinic keep that in mind for your next visit." WTH????? What did the receptionist say? . I feel I was racially "profiled". I'm retired military l am a retired therapist and teacher. I owned a business for 12 years. I'm well aware of how to be professional. I attempted to call back and left a message I would not be returning to this business. I was racially profiled as an angry Black woman because I questioned a "new" policy the receptionist was too uneducated to explain. Btw.... I still question the policy. Just saying. read more

Dr. Peter Nguyen is the best dentist! My boys have been seeing him since they were two. His new office is very clean, aesthetically pleasing, and the staff are friendly, professional and helpful. I've never had a problem with cancellations because I'm responsible and don't miss my kids' appointments. Dr. Nguyen is great with kids and my boys feel very comfortable with him. I mostly give bad reviews on yelp, but I highly recommend him. He's gentle with them, makes funny jokes, and my kids enjoy his bad singing (lol) and happy attitude. The waiting room is very pleasant to sit in, their dental equipment is state of the art, and my kids enjoy playing with the toys while they wait. If you're looking for a great dentist, he's the one! I'm super picky and my family loves him. Even though we live far away, we make a point to visit him for my kids' 6 month checkups because he's the best pediatric dentist out there! read more

My 9 month old fell while learning to walk (don't they all?) and hit his face. Given there was some blood and he has 3 baby teeth, I wanted him to be examined by a dentist. He was fine, and I will forever be grateful for this practice--from front desk to dentist--for squeezing my child in and answering ALL of my questions during the exam. This all happened during Covid, so it is worth noting that many precautions were in place. Everyone was fully masked, sanitizer was available, and plexiglass was at the front desk. The waiting room was child fun and super clean. And we were in and out in under 30 minutes (including an x-ray!). While only 1 parent could be in back because of Covid, we totally understand. This place is wonderful, and I'm so happy, as a first time parent, to find a pediatric dentist for my little one. Take it from the professor, A+ all around. Thank you! read more

Didn't bother to encourage us to see an orthodontist when she clearly needed some attention with her underbite. We've been in here a couple times. The ladies who work here have been the sweetest. After this visit though, I won't be back. My 6 yo son has two cavities and the DR pressed HARD for crowns. I opted for fillings anyways. I could tell that's not what they wanted to do but they made the appointment. On the day of my appointment I was late, but when I called they said I could come in still (maybe this is what stemmed the behavior?) When I got there they gave my son gas and the dr came in an numbed up my son. My son didn't even flinch, perfect patient. After waiting for the numbing to take, the dr came back in an placed a big silicone/rubber sucker/separator in his mouth: "the jellyfish". My son gagged and took it out right away. The dr got annoyed and placed it back in. My son made some noises and reached his hand up. The assistant told him to put his hand down, he started to, then the dr said "no let him take touch it" and that was the drs golden ticket. No other warning, he turned the air machine off and said he needs crowns or to be sedated next time. The doctor got an attitude and said my son "made it very clear he wasn't going to let him do fillings". Okay, If you wanted to go to lunch, just say that. You made it clear from the beginning you didn't want to do fillings. The doctor could have let me talk to my child about letting him keep it in his mouth but instead numbed and gassed him and wasted both our time for nothing. The problem I have is the dr being so immediately snarky when he's the one who told my son it was okay to touch it. If he didn't, my son would not have touched it again because the lady told him not to. He could have got my sons undecided attention and explained that and told my son it would be a wasted day. The tv is on the kids aren't paying attention, he didn't even give the kid a chance. My son is extremely well behaved in dental settings, my parents have dental offices and my brother is a dentist. We come here because it's for kids specifically. But due to the drs attitude and lack of care that he injected and gassed my son for no reason- we won't be back. I avoid anything that's not completely necessary going into my child's body. This is so upsetting to me, I can't believe I even let this happen. Maybe the doctor doesn't have kids and doesn't realize how precious and balanced their tiny bodies are, but making my son go through numbing and gas then finding an excuse to not do the procedure is disgusting. If my child was crazy or a hassle I get it, but my child was not. The doctor was rude and being lazy. My recommendation to the doctor is if there's a last warning make it known - tell the parent and have the child look at you while you tell the child or let the parent tell the child the seriousness. Saying "oh you have to keep this in or we can't work on your teeth" in a kid-like tone while forcing it back into the mouth while the child is watching tv is not really it. Then don't tell the child they can touch stuff then punish them And call it quits with an attitude. I regret this entire process. I hope the doctor learns how to control his attitude. read more
