My family history search was based on my…read morematernal grandmother's line and it ended up not only confirming a bit of family history that had passed down to me by my grandmother which had been documented by her sister in the 1920's, but the research Sapling did ended up going back 52 generations. I was completely blown away. My wife and I both spent the initial look at the ancestry report with our jaws hitting the floor. I had been under the assumption that my grandmother's line had a direct connection to Robert de Brus in Scotland, and the research confirmed that, but it ended up going back much farther to the the year 400 and I certainly hadn't anticipated that there would be so many connections that would be as traceable as they were. At some point I'm going to have Sapling do my father's ancestral line.
