I was recommended to Ivy by my sister, who has had Ivy do her taxes for over 20 years. I had a very…read moredifficult tax year, with a lot of variables like work from home, plus work outside of the home, plus medicare. My first rough quote by a free tax preparer was $9,000 more than what Ivy prepared. She went through even possible way I could save on my taxes, she worked for me, not the IRS. Her office is centrally located, but you can also do your taxes remotely, which my sister has done since she moved to Orlando, then VA, then back to Orlando. I can't say enough about how wonderful Ivy was. She was calm and not critical of everything presented. My last tax CPA was curt, even accusing me of using my children's 529 when all he had to do was ask and I showed him receipts for UCF and study abroad, because I could not claim her, as she had aged out, he assumed she didn't exist. Ivy is always professional and her calming presence put me immediately at ease. She's also very efficient, she scanned all my documents in front of me and asked very smart questions, not belittling one. She was never judgemental, just a teammate in this process we do once a year which is very stressful to us laymen. If you want your taxes done professionally, with a wonderfully kind person, use Ivy! She's the best I've ever encountered.

4/2/2020 -This is my first review I have ever written, I do not like to write reviews especially…read morenegative ones, but this incident merits this review. I know people may have a bad day, consequently, a negative comment might have some effect on their business, but, if you have a business, customer service should be priority number one. I have been a client of Caceres and Caceres for four years and never had any problems. They were nice. This year I went to have my taxes done on 3/10/20. I have to pay to the IRS and agreed to have my taxes remitted on 4/1/20; however, due to current situation with Covid-19, the date to file the taxes was extended up to July 15. On 3/17/20, I sent an email to Xavier Caceres indicating that I did not want to send my taxes and payment until June 30. I sent four emails, but as of today's date, I am still waiting for his reply. I called the office on 3/30 and spoke to someone, left a message indicating that I did not want to send my taxes on 4/1/20, as originally scheduled, and for Xavier to answer my emails and called me. I called again on 3/31, but no one answered the call and did not have voice mail (hard to believe that a business do not have a voicemail), thus, I could not leave a message. Xavier has ignored my emails and the message I left at the office. My taxes were remitted to the IRS as originally scheduled on 4/1/20. The irresponsible and unethical behavior of this firm is unacceptable, especially with the financial situation that we are all facing because of the current pandemic. They have to seriously work on their customer service skills, upgrade their modus operandis, and keep up with the times by upgrading the communication skills and at least have a voice mail or an answering service, so the clients can leave a voice message or communicate with them!! I am writing this review on all platforms I could find on the web, sending an email to all my contacts, and filing a complaint to the State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulations and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. I will not recommend this firm to anyone; this was very irresponsible and unethical from their part to be playing with other people's money!
