They dj'ed my stepdaughters wedding reception. The photo booth didn't work. The guy kept screwing with it and let the music suffer while he failed at "Mr. Fix It". Afterwards they agreed to refund the $350 extra paid for the photo booth but nothing extra for the crap dj work while dude failed to fix the booth. 3 months later the refund still hasn't arrived and they have stopped responding to any and all messages. They won't even send the lie of the checks in the mail like they were doing. Don't ruin your event. Choose another dj service. Or just use an iPod. read more

We hired Brett to provide DJ and photo booth services for our wedding ceremony and reception on August 11, 2018. The photo booth wouldn't work, he tried to fix it but neglected his DJ duties in doing so. Four days after the wedding I reached out to Brett via email regarding a refund for the photo booth. He offered me the service for 4 free hours or a refund for the amount I paid for the photo booth, I opted for the refund and we agreed that he would mail me a check. After a week or so, I had not received the check so I emailed him again and he said that he would mail it out in a few days...long story short I still don't have my money back 3 months later AND he has stopped responding to me altogether. Firestorm was recommended to us by college friends, we had a really good feeling Firestone was going to make big contributions to our wedding day. Sadly we were very disappointed with the service that was provided. Meetings-we set up a meeting w him so we could talk about details and he didn't show nor did he call to inform us he had a family emergency. By all means I understand but if u run a business then u have to be able to communicate w your clients so they aren't wasting their time. Punctuality- was none existent for the ceremony, to witness the sound system was not fully set up or tested before the ceremony. He said he was going to be there at 2 to set everything up n check everything and he didn't get there until a quarter til our wedding start time!!! We understand there were some technical difficulties but, there was no communication on needing more time. Audio-The singer couldn't be heard clearly because the volume was significantly low. The wireless mic on the officiant was cutting in and out, we believe it was due to the distance between the equipment and the ceremony. This is something that should of been tested before the event. Reception-we were promised free up-lighting if we paid our services in full on July 2nd, due to Firestorm was purchasing up-lights from another vendor that was going out of business. Music- during the reception was below average. We were promised a chill start and a more crowed involve music after dinner was served. We were also told that the dances(first dance,dad daughter,mother son) were going to be cut so we didn't have to sway back n forth for the whole 8 minutes and We were out there the whole time! We were not impressed nor satisfied with the service. I recall on our earlier conversations with firestorm that this was a very important piece to our wedding and it wasn't at par. I also had guest talking to us about their request not being honored, that were not on the do not play list. We also sent the owner an email about our complaints after the wedding and he did not respond at all. So here we are putting it on yelp so other people's weddings won't be a disaster because of this under average dj business. I would never recommend Firestorm to anyone!!!!! read more

I am extremely displeased with the service I received from this company. My first impression of this company is that the owner, Brett Roan, was supposed to meet with me to go over the details of my wedding reception and was late. After speaking with him we proceeded with him to be my DJ, so we went over everything with him and he assured me everything would go as planned. Now turn to the day before my wedding we were setting up at the venue and Brett was set to be there to set up between 2pm and 3pm, he never showed up. I called and texted with no response until 4pm, when he texted and said he was on his way to the venue, he didn't show up until 4:55pm and the care taker of the venue had to leave at 5pm as she had been waiting for 3 hours for him to show up. Now on the day of the wedding he came at 130pm to set up his equipment and my care taker had to stay for 3 unplanned hours (for which I was charged $150.00 by my venue) because he did not set up when we had discussed/arranged for it to be done. When I arrived at the wedding reception the "DJ" that was there was not Brett and had no idea of anything regarding the songs I had asked to have played, the games we were going to play, or even the order of the events for the evening. I had to go speak with the DJ to go over everything with him on my wedding day, at my wedding reception, because he had no clue. He didn't even know how to use his own equipment and a friend of ours had to correct an audio issue, the music sounded so bad because it was not hooked up correctly and the "DJ" didn't even know how to fix the problem. The "DJ" even came up to me in the middle of the reception to tell me to thank our friend that helped him, because he "didn't know what to do". We didn't end up playing one of the games we had planned, he didn't play any of the songs I had chosen for open dance time, and overall it was not a good experience. I am very disappointed because I tried to contact Brett via phone, and via email and he has ignored both - so this is my only option to get my message across. read more
