These guys will rip you off if you're not careful. All the reviews saying the same thing are true, you should believe them. They charged me $100 for a check that I later found out was literally just them checking the engine code, which they told me there was no code. You can go to O'reilly's and get that for free btw. But they took advantage of my limited knowledge of cars and scammed me because that's the nature of this place. I got an oil change here two years ago, they spilled oil on my alternator and didn't tell me about it, then my car broke down a few weeks later so I took it somewhere else and they told me whoever changed the oil spilled some on the alternator. I took it back to them and told them they needed to fix it, they tried to play dumb, but eventually they admitted it. Flash forward to today, I tried giving them another chance with an oil change cause prices everywhere else are pretty rough right now. I come in and they tell me they're ordering a filter and it'll be about 10 mins. Two hours go by and I ask for an update. They say they accidentally ordered the wrong filter and that they're ordering the correct one, and it'll take about 10 mins. So here I am, another two hours later and my entire day gone, hoping that they changed it correctly. They probably spilled some oil somewhere else knowing these guys though. If I would've known it was gonna take 4 hours, I wouldn't have waited here, but I came in and they told me it wouldn't take long. I don't know if it's the management, or the work culture, or something else, but this is a terrible Firestone and you should not take your car here. read more

Needs to be under new management. Colby, the current "manager", is an absolute joke. HE is the sole reason I'm giving this place a 1 star. The guy doesn't listen, unless another employee that's actually better at dealing with customers is present. The mechanics are unfortunately under the mercy of this level of "management". Kevin, one of the guys that works in the shop, amazing!! He was kind and professional and straight forward. I give HIM 5 Stars. Super unfortunate that Firestone is actually a decent establishment....just NOT in Stillwater, OK because of current poor management. Needed a tire patched , didn't have employees capable to do it till 9:00 am . dont make sense to me?

Giving Firestone a one star review is honestly an insult to an actual one star establishment. Here are a few issues I encountered trying to have a flat repaired: 1. Claimed patching a tire 5 years or older is not something they can do. the tire is 4 years old. also patching is not related to tire age. 2. Quoted $1.1k for 4 tires and installment, went to walmart to be quoted $444, but was told new tires not necessary yet and they patched the flat in 30 min. 3. recommended a new air filter (it was changed yesterday @ an oil change) 4. Recommended countless other fixes on the vague justification of "mileage" 5. waited 45 minutes to hear they would not patch while witnessing an off duty employee bring his car into the bay ahead of mine Please do not take your car here and do not buy anything from them, you're better off anywhere else read more

Literally just go to any place other than this Firestone! They never confirm appointments, never stick to the time you've scheduled, most of the time they have multiple employees call in so the wait time is even more ridiculous, it's just a big fat no. I scheduled an appointment the day prior and didn't get a confirmation for my appointment so I showed up at the time scheduled. I was told there's only one person certified to run diagnostics on batteries and they wouldn't be there for 2 more hours and even then my truck wouldn't be ready by the end of day. I decided to quickly run over to Walmart auto on 6th street who tested my battery within 2 minutes and sent me on my way for free. Avoid this Firestone like the plague read more

Completely horrendous. If you want to find a way to completely lose a day of your life, take your car here. I took my car earlier in the morning and they told me it would be done by 3:00PM. 3:00 PM comes and goes and my car isn't even on the stand. By 6:00 they finally get around to working on my car. I only asked for a replacement on tire and a repair on another, and then they end up telling me I need 3 whole new tires. Crazy to think about when all of the tires on my car had about 10k miles. Trying to upsell your customers so they can take the newer tires off and resell them, while already killing you with buying another new tire. A joke of a tire shop. Absolutely atrocious. read more

Went to Firestone in Stillwater Oklahoma today for a front end alignment we took it in at 2pm said it would be about 2 hours came back in two hours truck still wasn't in said they had a rush job they put in front of us went back at 5:30 they said that my upper and lower ball joints and Ty rods were bad and refused to do the alignment I told them that the ball joints and tierods was replaced in February they said I was a liver and that there still bad to trust them and gave a quote for 3200 to fix it took it to a shop in town he said that nothing was wrong with the ball joints and tie rods also while I was there they told a older lady that it would be 500 to do her brakes what a joke I wouldn't go back ever read more

They tried to find the problem for 45 minutes and then gave up and let the car sit there for 2 full days before I called and gave them a hard time. Told them I needed it by a Monday, they noted Tuesday. Told them there was coolant leaking around the fuel injectors, they called and told me there was no visible leak (they what the heck is this green liquid around the fuel injectors?!) Not a car savvy guy, but was in a crunch, so I investigated and diagnosed the problem and called them to tell them what to look for. Finally, on day 3, after being TOLD it was a bad intake manifold, they called back to tell me it was just the gasket. I said "are you sure about that?" and they said they were certain and that intake manifolds never go bad. If it was the manifold I was going to do it myself to save money, if it was the gasket I was going to let them do it because it was half the price. So they started on the gaskets, only to call back in a bit and say "we've got it taken apart and you were right, it's the intake manifold." They proceeded to tell me I'd still have to pay them the $540 for the gaskets either way and that the manifold would be $430 extra dollars. Well even that estimate was wrong because the final bill was $1150. Love Firestone in Tulsa, but in Stillwater, you're better off with napa auto parts and YouTube. Only use these guys if you have no other option. read more

My daughter is a student at OSU and had a flat tire. They tried to take advantage of her by saying they had to replace all four tires even though the other tires were only a few months old. They refused to do the one tire and said they would only replace if it she bought four tires. read more

Avoid at all cost! Seriously, I would even take my car to Walmart before taking it here! I took my car in at 8am with a screw in the tire. I was told it would take "a few hours." At noon I called for an update and was told "another hour and a half max." 4pm "it is in the garage now, shouldn't take long. At 5pm, I decided to go in person. Nobody was working on my car yet. I was told they were about to start and it would take 30 minutes. It is 5:30pm now and I am still waiting. Take your vehicle anywhere else! read more

Was traveling to Cushing on Thursday when my truck broke down. Had the truck towed the next morning to Firestone in Stillwater associate contacted me to let me know they have the truck I let them know I was from out of town if they could please let me know what it was going to take.I was told it would be looked at that day. Called back that evening and was told they were not able to look at it and was reassured it would be looked at Sat well at 6pm sat night I called back this time I was told it wouldn't be looked at tell Monday. I ended up driving up there Sunday morning to get some help the truck was later diagnosed with a bad fuel pump and was told it would be ready Monday morning. Get a call Monday morning to get told a fuel evap line was broke and that's what caused my pump to burn up and they would have to order it and wouldn't be here tell wed . So I rented a car to get back home. Called Wed after not hearing from them and was told the part was on its way should be here Thursday. Called back Thursday after not hearing from anyone and was told it was not there yet but it's on its way. So Friday I'm getting ready too drive the 5 hour trip to get my truck hoping it would be done and called before I left and was told this time that the Manufacture is still making the part and it has not been shipped. So on Saturday a friend of mine and I drove to Stillwater with a trailer and loaded it up. After everything that has went on you think they would have tried to make things right with the bill told me all they can do is 10% lol. Save your $$$ and GO Elsewhere read more

I wish I could say better things about this firestone. The first time I went to them was after my car wouldn't start and I decided to have my battery checked. They insisted it was my transmission that needed to be replaced, but it couldn't be done by them since they didn't have the parts. So I had set up a transmission replacement elsewhere to find out it was just a dead battery that needed replacing. The next time I go for an oil change to hear it'll be a 4 hour wait and I can't leave the site. The 3rd time I go I had a nail in my tire and waited two hours to have it looked at before they tell me it can't be patched or plugged and the tire would have to replaced. I take it to another location, and they said it can be easily plugged. I just don't trust the judgement anymore. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had at an automotive shop. I stopped there over an hour before closing with a slow leak in a tire. I explained I was leaving in the morning for a 2000 mile trip to Oregon and could they please check it out. The lady explained that they couldn't get to it. They had to install a set of tires and there were two flats as well. This isn't just poor service but a total lack of empathy. I worked as a diesel mechanic during college and we always bent over backwards if someone was in a bind. I called Firestone on a Saturday morning and was told I'd have my vehicle looked at within the hour. I went in no more than a half hour after the call, and waited just over two hours to get my vehicle checked out. I saw them drive my vehicle up from the waiting room, and then they spent 10 minutes looking at it before telling me I needed a $1400 repair (of course, he verbally told me 1200 and then the quote had another item on it, not including taxes). Shoddy diagnostic work, two hours of waiting and topping off dirty fluids that day cost me $21, which I wouldn't usually be opposed to if they did their job well. I asked them what causes this kind of damage (because being knowledgeable about my car and its safety is important to me) and their response was a shrug with the cliche phrase "parts just get worn out over time" and that's about that. I don't completely blame them for not being knowledgeable about my specific car since they're not the dealer (although it's a pretty popular make and model), but I do fault them for suggesting a very expensive repair that I didn't actually need, and then not being equipped (or not bothering) to explain it to me when I asked about it... I guess they didn't expect that I would have the good sense to ask questions. I was polite, though, and I left telling them I need to line up some finances before committing to the repair. After leaving, I immediately checked in with the dealer. They said it would be odd for my car to have that kind of wear and tear given its mileage. I ended up taking scheduling a service appointment there where they did a courtesy inspection. They had two mechanics inspect my vehicle and both said there was absolutely nothing wrong with the part. I don't mind waiting or paying to take care of my car, if that's what's actually happening. I didn't appreciate the service I got and I don't enjoy feeling talked down to for whatever reason. read more

Too bad there's not a no star. Was in Stillwater for the football game and had a belt issue. Went to another mechanic that closed at 2 and was referred here. Dean at customer service counter tells me it's 144 or something ridiculous. I'm stuck with no tools thinking where else can I go. So I ask if I can get a ride to the game since its 2 o'clock and he says no ones available. I told him since it was going to be a hour I'd just come back at halftime. Asked if my dog was ok in the backseat and he said no. I walked out went next door to the oil change place and was treated with the utmost courtesy and the gentleman there working off the same Firestone computers did the belt for 101$ in 5 min oil change and all for less than here. I was out in 20 min or so and made to the game in good time. Besides overcharging me and lying about how long it took to do I think Dean is a very poor customer service rep. I came back to Okc and have a complaint at the area manager. Let's see what happens. read more

I only logged on here today to get a phone number because I'm needing tires on my truck. I really don't understand all the negative reviews. I've used these guys for 9 years and have never felt taken advantage of or waited more than an hour for my car. I've had service done as well as multiple sets of tires for five different vehicles for myself and grown children. Their prices are reasonable, the staff is always polite and very patient with me since I know zip about cars except how to drive. I would recommend them over anyone else in Stillwater. read more

After 10 years of having my vehicles serviced there I am done. It's gone waaaay down hill. Dropped my truck off for new tires and alignment, called me to pick it up and it had the wrong tires. Wrong size, wrong model. 2 hours later we get that fixed, I drove out with the steering wheel off center. Returned the next day, they aligned it and charged me for it with bad ball joints it turns out. Got that fixed and returned and the tire pressure monitors wouldn't read. They fixed that and locked my keys in my truck. Tore up my paint getting the door open. I suggested the age of tire pressure monitors they need replaced, wouldn't do it. I returned every day for 6 days sometimes multiple times a day for the tire pressure monitors. They finally replaced them all and that fixed it. They tore up my paint and dinged my doors on the two post shop lift. Albeit they didn't charge me for anything, they made it right. I returned for another service out of good faith for making things right with me. I had a terrible experience with the service advisors up front, bad enough I called corporate and the district manager was supposed to contact me and never did. Never heard from the store manager either, I will never go back to the Stillwater location or any other location now. Done. read more

These people are cheats. They told my daughter that she HAD to buy the synthetic oil instead of normal SAE oil for her 2013 Nissan Altima. Even lied to her so much they showed her on the computer screen. l will never use this company again. read more

My headlights went out driving to work in the dark yesterday morning. I pulled into Firestone to see if they could help. The guy at the counter was less than friendly, told me it would cost $100 an hour just to "look at it" and that it would be a while because they were busy. $100 an hour, seriously!!?? Needless to say I walked out. I live in Shawnee and when I got there after work they fixed it in less then an hour. Including having to send out for parts and my total bill was $40!! Normally, me and my two kids have a wonderful experience at Firestone Complete Auto Care. However, the experience with this certain one, was rather than unpleasant. Earlier, we were driving home from Kansas to Texas. The Firestone before (Texas) had put in a brake part incorrectly. This lead to it breaking and all the brake fluid spilling out. We could not stop the car, so we pulled over near the side of the road where we were soon toed to Still Water Firestone. We arrived Saturday evening, shortly before they had closed. They assured us that it would be fixed Sunday morning. Again, we live in Texas, so we had to rent a hotel in the area for the night. Sunday morning came, and they told us that everything was closed for Mother's Day. They were 'still looking for the part' but they weren't getting anywhere. So, I took matters into my own hands, and went to the auto parts place they were allegedly calling. As we go into Napa, (the auto parts place) they tell us they know nothing about a brake part Firestone was supposed to be calling about. This is extremely shady as we had to stay in Oklahoma all the way up until Tuesday. On top of that, they didn't even try to take a look at my car at Firestone, and were saying they were 'calling everywhere'. Overall, shady business, horrible service, and I would not recommend this Firestone to anyone. read more

i am in from out of town and here for a short time before having to get back on the road. i called to inquire about a wheel alignment and tire rotation. the young man answered the phone mumbled and all i could understand was "firestone". this reprsentative of firestone paused and got offended when i asked his name. it sounded like he said "cory" or "cordel". he said all he has was thursday evening and then firday is better. even after informing him of my short time here, he made no effort/attempt to find an alternative solution. even an half-hearted apology would have sufficed. customer service and quality of service does not seem to be a concern any more. read more

I am sure this place does an ok job making automotive repairs but we never got that far. My international friend took his car here to get a routine check up in preparation for a long road trip and was told it would take 3 hours to get his car looked at. 4 hours later he calls and is told they aren't ready with the car and it'll be ready sometime in the afternoon. I called them and a man named Dustin was very rude and told me that the car would be ready before 7 but that he couldn't give me a time frame for when it would be ready. Considering that they close at 7, he wasn't any help. He was rude and not friendly the entire conversation. I recommended to my friend that we take the car somewhere else so we did. Kwik Kar gave his car a good inspection and didn't charge anything and it only took 15 minutes. Im most upset because I am worried that firestone just didn't care because he is an international student. read more

I've lived in Stillwater, Oklahoma for close to 3 years (both my wife and I are military retirees), and the three times I've needed a service (prior to my wife's visit last week) to get a tire replaced or patched (due to the poor road construction issues in this town!), I've always had to deal with the manager of the store (Chris Biggs), who fixes the issues promptly, including a tire patch three weeks ago on my jeep. Last week, on July 5th, my wife, who happens to be a brilliant mechanic (with more than 20 years experience in rebuilding engines and exhaust systems in her spare time), had to take another separate tire to be patched on the same jeep. Chris was not available that day, and one of his underlings asked her to drop the jeep off, and that due to the high volume of business that day, it would be about 2 hours before they could get to it, which was not a problem. They called back 2 hours later, saying "your tires are 10 years old so they were dry-rotted, so we couldn't fix it and had to replace it and it's ready to be picked up". I was currently away on military business last week so one of my son's dropped her off to pick it up within 15 minutes. She stated that the worker was acting somewhat "shady" as he's explaining to her about the dry rot and that we would need all four tires replaced, so she asked to see the previous tire. Amazingly enough, the tire "disappeared" from the center but they brought a piece of it out. When I returned from my trip last night, she was still quite pissed off and I don't blame her. They took a damn good, expensive $250 Michelin tire and replaced it with a crappy $100 tire, offering her to replace the other 3 tires, as soon as possible, for $384. As someone who is quite mechanically-inclined myself, not like my wife, but I'm not a "tire expert", so I took it to 2 different trusted mechanics in the area and they both said the same thing after looking at all the tires and the piece I presented to them for inspection :"Your tires are in good shape, and this piece here, you can see where they pried the tire off and broke it open! You just got gipped" Granted, the tires are 10 years old, but the Jeep has never sat in more than one place for more than a day, as it has usually been driven 2 to 5 miles since 2007! It still has great treads on it! So, unless you deal with the manager of the store himself, I would NOT suggest going here because when he's not there, apparently his guys like to run up the bill on your car service! And the wife? Well, she's already telling the female students at OSU "NOT to trust taking their vehicles there because if they see a woman coming into the store, you're gonna get screwed because apparently women don't know nothing about cars".
