Scheduled an appointment online for the first time I visited here and when I showed up, I was told that the online appointments weren't communicating correctly with the store so I didn't actually have an appointment and I had to go somewhere else. I called the store the next time when I wanted to schedule an appointment and they were scheduling 2 weeks out. Finally made this appointment and thought it took a while (an hour for just an oil change?!) and was a bit on the expensive side. The service and quality didn't seem any better than drive-up places that are both faster and cheaper and don't require a couple of week wait to schedule. I will never go to Firestone again! I have only went here twice in my life and was not super satisfied either time. This last time I went was December 31st. On December 31st I bought new tires from them and had them put the tires on. Little did I know that they were NOT going to tighten the lug nuts enough or properly until one day two weeks ago. That day two weeks ago I was driving home from work on the highway absolutely terrified. My whole vehicle started shaking horribly! Even I knew that this wasn't good and I don't know too much about cars. So I got off the highway and drove extremely slowly to my parents house. My father took a look at my vehicle and found that the lug nuts were not put on tight enough. My right passenger tire had only three lug nuts and a now broken stud and the rear left driver side tire was missing two lug nuts causing another broken stud. Then the right rear tire was also missing a lug nut! The only properly installed tire was the left driver's side. So because of all of this my vehicle was out of commission for a few days until the new parts came in. I had a warranty on these but will NEVER trust Firestone again in my life!!! I will also will NEVER RECOMMEND them!!! It's a good thing that mg Dad knows more than some of them when it comes to tires. He was able to fix all of the problems created by Firestone and I've been able to drive my vehicle again for over a week now. I brought my Toyota here after another shop couldn't figure out how to balance my tires. They got me in quickly, remembered me from the day before, showed me the parts they replaced without me asking, and were just overall great. I was impressed with the service especially after having quite the opposite experience the day before. I have never considered bringing my cars to firestone before but outside of things my dealership provides me deeply discounted I'll more than likely be back. I had bad alternator in my Honda Accord making us stay overnight at Norton Shores on our way to Metro Detroit from Muskegon. Firestone was the only shop open on Memorial Day who could fix my car. They understood my problem over the phone and ensure that they get the part ready before I arrive there as my car could have stopped any time on my way to them as battery was discharging fast. They fixed my car after inspecting it thoroughly. They explained the inspection report to me before starting work on it. They showed me the damaged part after the work done. Person (sorry I forgot his name) at the counter was very informative. All this made sure that I reached my home well within time without much hassle. read more

went in for a routine oil change and a there was a part in my car that broke (a section of it had stripped by being over-tightened at my last oil change at a different location). It fully cracked during the oil change and the Firestone guys ordered the replacement part, paid for a rental car during the wait period (it took 2 days to arrive) and then fixed the vehicle and completed the original oil change free of charge. Excellent customer service, the handled the issue well when they could've simply blamed the previous oil change place and claimed it wasn't their problem. I'll be returning here for all my future car maintenance needs. read more

I needed 3 tires because I had one replaced on the road Labor Day weekend. Firestone was open on Sunday in Columbus OH. and needless to say very busy. But they made time for me and replace the one flat tire so I could get home. Muskegon's Firestone ordered the other three tires I needed and we set up an appointment. 10:30 am 9/22. I dropped the car off early and requested a call when they were finished. No call at 1pm or 2pm. So I called and was told they were working on it. I called again at 3:30 and they were just finishing. I ask how could a 10:30 appointment be this far behind? I was told that they only had one person working on tires that day. I then ask how many people/cars could they possibly have had in front of a 10:30 appointment. What they do well is make excuses. I also checked to make sure the Key lug had been put back and when I look in the trunk it was a mess and the Key lug was not there. It was in the cup holder in the car and again I was told "We put it there so you know you got it back" after five hours I guess I'm just tired of excuses. read more

This place is the most honest place in Muskegon....I've taken 2 vehicles there....nice people and they don't treat you like an idiot....
