Took my truck in for an 10$ inspection and tire rotation. On the way home I started hearing a clicking noise coming from my back right tire. I called to ask what they did to my vehicle and they were extremely defensive and unapologetic. Micheal then said what do you expect from a 10$ service it was probably caused by the rotation and uneven tires. My tires are 6 months old, truck was in alignment. I got home and jacked that side of my truck up and 4 out of 6 bolt were loose. read more

It is really too bad that this location stopped installing brand new tires that are purchased from Tirerack. For declining 100 dollar service they cost themselves 3000-4000 a year in business. I have purchased multiple sets of tires from them and have a Firestone credit card as well. $100 dollar service declination to lose thousands a year not a very good business decision but they must have enough customer they clearly don't care. If it is such an issue for you have the customer sign a liability waiver for installation or are you just that greedy you force them into buying your tires I have new firehawks on my other vehicle as well not anymore read more

Booked appointment online, showed up well before the appointment truck was taken back ten minutes late but that's understandable. The service that lists in the book as under an hour took just over two hours. No parts required, no issues relayed, just plain simple check the alignment. Front desk personnel presented tired and placed phone customers over those in person. Slow service and apathetic customer service is what I experienced and why I gave them one star. read more

Terrible Service. All I needed was an oil change. Took them 2 hours to do an oil change.. when I got my vehicle back the check engine light was on. I asked for guidance and they just cleared my codes. They said it was all good so I went and bought my own scan tool. Low oil pressure is what it read. Also I had oil leaking.. I came the next day to show them and asked for assistance and they refused to help me while they were having their pizza ordered.. even though they were in the wrong. I had to go to another mechanic to fix Firestones service that I paid for. They also charge me $90. Place is a SCAM. read more

On Monday made an appointment for 4 tires on Thursday at 12:00. Got concerned when I arrived because the couldn't find the appointment for a MAJ who was ahead of me in line. They found my appointment and took my keys saying that it would be done in 2 1/2 hours and they would call me when it was done. Did not receive a call so I returned at 4 pm to find my truck parked in the same place that I left it with the old tires still on it. It did not go well for the moron at the desk. He said that I would be next......I demanded my keys and told him to look for this review. It is shocking that a business like this is allowed to operate on a military installation. I got my registration renewal notice and I am surprised I needed state safety inspection for my brand-new car. But oh well, since I am living the dream, that is- on post I needed somewhere close. And so, I called this place to check if they do the service and said they do. I walked in and scheduled an appointment on a Saturday. In the past I've had love and hate relationship with Firestone especially the ones in Cali, but then again, I am super nice I have many chances to give out. Went on to my appointment 10 minutes early and there was a slow-moving line, I didn't mind it at all. There were only two people inside assisting customers, so I had to wear my patience-hat. I got called and seated and timed the service, for real. I watched the technician pulled my vehicle to the bay and watched him from the inside while waiting the whole time. I was surprised that the smog check got finished in no more than 15 minutes, by far less wait time than I've had before. I could not believe it, when I got called back, I asked if I passed and the staff said yes, I was like that was fast. This place is always busy, I appreciate all the hard work that they do. Of course, for some other service it takes a while, that's when one customer could easily say meh, 1 star I waited forever for them to finish my service. I hope to see more customers appreciate this shop, but of course I call on Firestone management to tackle the charge/money/overpricing service issue coz it's is unfair for servicemembers to get charged way high to what it's supposed to be and not get the quality service they deserve. read more

Made a 2:00pm appointment to have tires mounted and balanced. Arrived 30 minutes early. It wasn't until 3:15 when the finally pulled it in. It is now 5:30pm and I'm still waiting. UNACCEPTABLE. While sitting here I've been listening to the sales reps try to explain needed items to customers. The sales reps have no clue what they are talking about. I heard one tell a customer that they might have to replace the exhaust manifold gasket to fix the transmission leak. WTH does exhaust manifold gasket have to do with a transmission. Worst shop ever! Fail NC inspection for a horn not working and they wanted $85 to diagnose it. Told them that my horn does work and they said I would have to leave work come up there and show them for the inspection. On my lunch break I went to the shop walked outside and honk the horn 4 times. They were obviously trying to scam me. They then refused in inspect my vehicle as I request and asked me to leave. They still charged me for all the service and were very rude. Randel and Danny know nothing about cars and should not even be in this industry. TLDR. I made an appointment for Saturday, 12 May at 1230. I arrived at 1200 and the appointment wasn't in the system. I was there primarily to receive an alignment, which was especially important since I had performed steering work on my vehicle and I drove 30 minutes to go to a Firestone. There are closer alignment shops, but I trusted firestone, as I have used them for years. They said they could work me in, and they knew I would be waiting, but it should take no more than two hours. I expected that, as I was receiving an alignment, flat repair, and tire rotation. When I was handed my printout of services to be performed, it said 5pm for estimated completion time. I asked if it would actually be 5pm and they assured me it would only be two hours. After waiting two and a half hours (it's now 2:30pm) I decided I would walk to the nearby store to kill some time, my vehicle was still in the parking lot. I wasn't frustrated, I know things can happen. When I returned an hour later (3:30pm), my vehicle still had not been moved. This was upsetting to me, as I had a lot of important things to accomplish on Saturday. I was about to ask for my keys, so that I could leave when I noticed they pulled into a bay. Around 4pm, one of the associates told me the vehicle was on the alignment rack and would be finished within 30 minutes. I knew this wasn't true, because I could see my vehicle in a lift bay, and it still had not been worked on at all. I know it had not been worked on because right after they pulled it into a bay, they all went to the break room to eat Burger King or McDonald's. The entire shift cleared the bays to go eat for 30-40 minutes. At 430pm they had just finished fixing the flat repair and started the tire rotation when another associate told me I would be finished in 30 minutes, they were almost done. My vehicle did not get to the alignment rack until 5pm. Where they performed the alignment in about 30-40 minutes. Which to me seems normal, but I did recall one of the associates telling another customer they couldn't do their alignment because it takes two hours to complete and they didn't have time today. When finally complete and returned to the parking lot, I waited about 15 minutes to sign, pay, and get my keys. During the process they were so intent on closing and leaving for the day that they didn't explain a single part of my paperwork, or any of the services performed on my vehicle. Nor did they apologize for my time wasted/lost. Even if the estimated time of completion was 5pm, they still missed that deadline by almost an hour. I could say they didn't offer me a discount, but I wasn't even looking for that. I just wanted to human to human, associate to customer appology. I had an appointment to get an alignment done on my other truck on the 13th, which I cancelled before I left. Partly because it would t be done since I wasted 6 hours of my life sitting in a showroom being lied to (or misled, whichever you prefer). Also because I will never be returning to this Firestone, even if it's the only automotive shop open for 300 Miles. I might not return to any Firestone. I was upset at the lack of communication between employees and customers and the lack of respect for my time. Either way, I was satisfied with the work performed. Firestone has always performed quality work on my vehicles. But this situation made me upset enough that I may find another service shop all together. I spent close to $1000 the week prior for my Silverado (which I also waited about 4 hours for an alignment and two tires), around $300 this day on my wife's Jeep and I was going to spend probably close to $1000, maybe more on my other Truck on the 13th. I'll take that money to a shop that values customers and their time, as well as understand the importance of communication. read more

Had a scheduled appointment for a standard wheel balance at 0800. Upon checking at the front desk, was informed the vehicle service would take up to 45 minutes, so we decided to wait in the parking lot. The vehicle wasn't even pulled into a bay until 1000. By the time the 1 service was completed, it was 1200. Something that I was told was going to be 45 minutes, turned into 4 hours without explanation or apology. Took my car in for new tires which they replaced. Afterwards my car was so loud once I started driving on the highway. Called and the guy told me it would take time for the tires to settle. Fast forward two weeks and they're still loud. Took it in and they said the wheel bearings need replacing. Never had an issue prior. If you set up an appointment to have someone come in at a certain time, don't start piling up work for walk-in clients. Hire more lobby receptionists as well, the lobby has 3 kiosks, and everytime I've came in - the 1 receptionist inside will either be slammed with calls on the phone or busy talking with a technician. Also, can active duty personnel get their own Firestone, tired of having to take time off my busy military schedule to wait on a civilian's vehicle to get fixed. It took two hours to do an oil change and rotate/balance tires/wheels although I had an appointment. When it was done I stood up and waited to pay. But the guy helped someone else who walked in. Another person came up so I could pay, but in the middle of the transaction he started answering the phone and instead of asking them to hold he made me wait. When I got my car there was wheel weight adhesive all over my wheels and Pirelli tires which stained my tires brown in that area. Not even an apology, as if I wouldn't notice. Let's see: bad customer service, sloppy work, not a fuck given. I won't be back. I will do the work myself at the Auto Skills Center on post for a fraction of the price. This people are horrible, DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. I took one of my vehicles to get the AC worked on, after I paid for it and got the receipts, I walked towards my car which it was parked on the front of the shop as soon as I got close to it I notice that the plastic cover on the bottom of the vehicle were hanging down almost touching the ground, after I saw this I open the hood of my car to see if everything else was ok, I found multiple cover plates under the hood unsecured some bolts were missing. I was told the AC was fixed but it was not, I was told that it was going to cost me more to get if fixed. Out of necessity I took my wife's car to get service done, but when they call me to give me a price for it, I was told that I needed new tires, new brakes and a new head light. The total charges were close to $1,700 for everything. After they supposedly fix all the problems with my vehicle came to find out that someone at that shop had tempered with the brakes and busted the free-on lines. I called corporate, but I was told that since the damage done to my vehicle was not near to where the work was performed by the mechanics and since I did not have any physical evidence that would tide any of the fire stone mechanics to the wrong doing on my vehicle, they could not be held liable for it. read more

I have been here twice, both times for tires. First time I only needed one tire to replace my flat one. Everything went smoothly. Second time I needed three more tired because they were wearing out. The staff is very nice, clean waiting area with coffee provided, comfortable seats, a TV. The wait can sometimes be long but honestly every time I take my car somewhere to be serviced I've had to wait so I don't have an issue with that. I don't see why they have you make an appointment though because even if you have one, your car won't be in the bay until there's a spot for it. Also, they are a bit pricey compared to other spots around here. But they do a good job. I've never had an issue with the quality of their work. read more

These people are con artists!! I spent over 900 dollars here to get my check engine light fixed including 200 on getting my A/C repaired. Not more than one week later my check engine light is back on and my AC is blowing hot. The heavyset gentleman with thick safety style eyeglasses was incredibly rude and condescending. Inconsiderate. Inept Operations. It seems apparent that they are paid commissions for additional repair work. I have replaced brake pads and shoes for 35 years and decided I don't have the time anymore. I'll have someone else do it. Big Mistake! Issues: 1. They didn't perform the service (replace brake pads) I asked them to do and they agreed to. 2. They didn't try to do it in the time the said it would be done. 3. They never contacted me with the "recommended" changes which wasted my day 4. They don't allow you to provide new parts you purchase. 5. And the recommended repairs included unnecessary things like 'caliper replacement', which chunk of cast iron that holds the pads and the brake cylinder!? Obvious scam! They turned a $100, 45 minute job into a $1395 estimate that wasted 4 hours of my time. I just did it myself like I have for 35 years. Should have known better. My car picked up a nail so I went in for a patch. Dropped my car off at 11, called at 1500, still hadn't looked at it but assured me it would be done by close. 1700... still hadn't looked at it, but once again, done by close. 1830 I called and they finally looked and said it was unpatchable, but they could replace it with a $400 tire. No thanks. Took it to M&B in Cameron and they said it was easily patchable, but since the tire was old they found me a brand new one for $169 and had it replaced in half an hour. Highly discourage this location. Majority of the staff are rude and their service is mediocre at best. A few months ago I took my car to their location for my engine light being on. They ran a diagnostic, smoke test and repaired my vacuum lines for a total of $225. I had dropped it off in the morning and was able to pick it up that evening. The next morning the engine light came back on, I was upset being that I spent that much money for it to be fixed and for the engine light to still be on and I voiced my concern. The customer service associate at that time told me that there was nothing they could do, that I would have to come back for another diagnostic at $90 for them to determine what was causing it. I didn't take it back, instead my husband and his friends worked on it here and there trying to fix it. My husband deployed and I had to go through an inspection.. Needless to say it failed emissions for an evap leak, the same problem from before. I took it to another garage that was able to run a diagnostic but were unable to run a smoke test, keep in mind this is now one inspection and two diagnostics, all three of which show a code P0455, Evaporative Emission Leak (large leak). I call around to see who can do a smoke test. When I called Firestone I explained to them that I only needed a smoke test done, that I knew what was the problem and I just needed to find the leak. They kept saying how they would have to do another diagnostic, regardless as to whether or not I already had one done and knew what the code was. Basically they kept saying that I would have to pay another $90 for them to tell me something I already know, and before they could even do another smoke test. When I asked why they couldn't just do a smoke test the customer service associate on the line said "I don't know, we would just have to do another diagnostic." At this point he started to get an attitude and asked where I had the car serviced before. When I told him that it was last worked on at their location and that the engine light had came back on the very next day he told me I should have come back the following day. To which I told him I had called and was told they'd have to do another diagnostic. He then went on to say that that is what I should have done and that they would have done another diagnostic. He started to give me a vibe that "it sucked to be me." Instead of listening to me and answer my simple question as to "why I had to have another diagnostic done when I know exactly what's wrong and only need a smoke test done?" the customer service associate argued with me saying that the only way they could work on my car is if I had another diagnostic done, which would make it a total of three diagnostics for the same issue! I thanked him for his time and told him that I was not going to take my car back there for something I didn't need and he laughed. I called Meineke and guess what? They were able to do a smoke test with the code I had from the inspection and the two other diagnostics, and didn't give me any hassle whatsoever and were very polite and professional. Sorry to ramble but that really pissed me off and this is not the first time my husband or I have had an issue at this Firestone. My only word of advice is to steer clear of this care care center.. I went there to get all four of my tires replaced. They did a free alignment check with it and told me my cars alignment was off, go figure. Talked me into paying for the free alignment for life package deal. What they didn't tell me was that in the process of doing all that they had scratched up all four of my rims. I have slight ADD when it comes to my car and there is not one scratch or dent on it that I don't have memorized. I have chrome rims so any kind of scratch on them is very noticeable. Unfortunately I didn't do a detailed check of their work before I left their parking lot because I had been there for like six hours and had to be somewhere. Now I wish that I had because I'm going to have to pay out of my own pocket to fix their incompetence and just complete lack of care when handling my property. I advise everyone who reads this to stay away from this place all together but if you have to use them check their work thoroughly before leaving and hold them accountable for their horrible work. read more
