Finishing up my stay as I write this review. My girlfriend and I wanted something close to the…read moretrain station. This place is literally a 5 minute walk or less from the Santa Maria Novella station. The staff here are friendly and greet you each time you walk in. They left us a hand written card and some biscotti cookies on the door for our last night. (If you're reading this, keep it up. It's little personal touches like that leave an impression.)
The room is a typical European style hotel room. It's small but it has everything you need. The room was clean and modern. The outlets had USB plug-ins in case you forgot your adapter. The bed was comfy and there wasn't any noise that I could hear coming from outside the door or windows. I'm a light sleeper so I would know. The shower is a little tight but like I said it's European style. It's bigger than the shower of fellow travelers that we talked to. They said their showers were about 2ft by 2ft and ours was maybe 3.5ft by 2ft. Not a big deal unless you're trying to get freaky in the shower or drop the soap. Speaking of soap/shampoo, theirs smelled amazing.
I think we spent about 200 euros per night. I would book directly through their site because for me it was cheaper than using a booking company like booking(dot)com, although it is how I found the hotel.
For those that care about breakfast. They have your basics like bacon, scrambled eggs, pancakes, ham, cheese, bread, cereals, yogurt, pastries (croissants, donuts) , fresh juices (pineapple, apple, orange) and fresh fruits (grapefruit, kiwi, cantaloupe, orange). I'm guessing the fruits are seasonal because they were all sweet and perfectly ripe. I'm a little bit of a fruit snob. I only had the bacon, fruit and juices and it was all good.

I would definitely stay here again if I wanted to be close to everything in the heart of Florence. All of the big attractions like the duomo and Michelangelo where less than 1 mile from the hotel. You can walk or take the scooters or e-bikes that are located all over the city. The Bird scooter was 8 euros to ride all day and the Ridemovi e-bike was 15 euros to ride all day. Both are good for a full 24 hours from time of purchase. We got tired of walking after being in Venice so we rode the e-bikes everywhere.
Hope this helps. Ciao!
