Nick always wore a mask, kept his distance, and kept me inform about the job through txt and pics. My experience with Fireman Dryerman was fantastic!! I was able to get an appointment online very easily and John came out to do my dryer vent cleaning a few days later. He did an amazing job! John was able to get dryer lint out of places in my dryer that I didn't even know had dryer lint! While working on the dryer, he even pointed out an issue with my water heater that I had not noticed before that I am now going to make sure and get fixed. John was very professional and courteous and he left my laundry area even cleaner than it was when he was finished. I also appreciated how he showed me before/after pictures of the different parts of the dryer to see the difference. Excellent service! Highly recommend! We had gone five years since moving into our new house. John came out and cleaned the inside of the dryer that had a huge amount of fabric softener mixed with lint that had built up over the years. The extra cost to clean that was well worth it for us - he must have taken 30 minutes to scrape all that crud off. He also cleaned the vent going out to the roof. Had a ladder and on the roof he cleared a mass of lint in the outlet of the vent. We will stop using fabric softener, as Consumer Reports recommends not using, and we learned it could really mess up the dryer, especially since we had used way too much over the years. We will definitely use Fireman Dryerman again! read more

These guys are awesome. I requested a quote and they called me back within a few hours but he apologized for the delayed response! If I can get a call back, I'm impressed let alone in less than 24 hours. Great initial impression. Then the guy that handles my area texted prior and asked if he could come earlier than the scheduled time. Since I'm used to cable companies etc arriving 15 min at the end of the appointment range, earlier was awesome. He then thanked me profusely because it helped him to get something done so he could get to work early the next day. Hey, it worked out for both of us, no big deal, but I appreciated the gratitude. No one thanks anyone for little things like that any more, you know? Then because our situation required a more "expert" or "specialist" guy to take the drum out and clean behind the grill part of the dryer, he scheduled that for me without any extra charge. No extra charge for another guy to come out and make sure everything was cleaned out. My husband waited for him at home and he had awesome things to say too. Our dryer kept alerting us that there was a blocked duct. We hired Fireman Dryerman to come help us out. They recognized that due to the construction of our home there was a blockage at the outside duct exit and fixed it right away. Our serviceman was so friendly and kind (even shut the laundry room door as not to upset our newborn with any loud noise). I have been in my home for a little over four years and suddenly realized that my dryer vent was not accessible to me to clean as it vented out through the roof. I had read some great reviews on Fireman Dryermen and decided to give them a try. I couldn't be more pleased. It was very easy for me to make an appointment and Carlo arrived right within the timeframe and was very thorough and exacting in his work. He actually said that my dryer was in pretty good condition and there had not been a lot of lint buildup so I didn't need the additional overall machine cleaning which I greatly appreciated. He also pointed out that I had a rigid duct system and shouldn't push my dryer back against the wall. Since my laundry room is on the small side I asked him if he could replace it with a flexible duct which he was able to do in just a couple of minutes. This is a great company comprised of firefighters who do this on their days off. I can't recommend them highly enough and will continue to use them and recommend them to my neighbors as well. I had an issue where my dryer took about 3 cycles to dry. I discussed the issue with the staff and owner and they made 2 visits to help investigate the issue. I happened to be looking for dryer vent cleaning, and happened to see a mention of Fireman Dryerman on a neighborhood-focused social network. I liked the story, and the fact that it is based in this area made me think scheduling might be a bit easier than average. Scheduling was actually very easy: I was able to see a calendar of pickable time slots when booking service on the website, and managed to get a slot later the same week. Brett was here on time, and then spent nearly 2 hours getting me squared away. My dryer was purchased new in 2003, and had never been cleaned, and definitely had plenty of lint in the vent and machine innards that Brett addressed. He also replaced the existing dryer connection hose, as the existing one had a kink in it, definitely restricting airflow. I wish I'd done it earlier -- the first larger load of laundry in the dryer after the cleaning was noticeably better performing (a large sheets+towels load that would have required at least 1.5 runs before now completes in a single run). read more

Fireman Dryerman recently offered an exceptional level of service that I didn't realize still existed in the world. Owner Brett answered my call after-hours on a Friday when my brand-new dryer refused to work, and I was running out of options after getting little help from the installers, retailer, manufacturer and other vent-cleaning services. There was a chance that a blocked vent was causing the dryer problem, but definitive answers from any other service were days away. Brett launched right into troubleshooting mode by phone and patiently talked me through potential causes for the dryer not working, given his prior experience as a repair tech. He had me share pictures of my setup by text message so he could help troubleshoot, and validated by phone that my duct was clear, avoiding the cost of his (or others') duct cleaning services. Then he went even further above and beyond, offering as a huge favor to swing by my house - late evening on a Friday on his way to a personal errand - to see if he could fix the machine. He identified that the vent hose used by the installers didn't work for my laundry room situation (large machines, small room) and swapped it for a better one, and then helped me strategize how to better organize the machines in the room. All the while, Brett was polite, professional, welcomed me to the neighborhood and offered to help in the future. This is how things once worked. Friendly neighbors helping each other fix problems, not large, soulless, profit-hungry corporations dispatching personnel whose time is too monitored to do quality work. I had recently moved into a third floor condo, and called fireman dryerman to take a look at my vents since who knows the last time they were cleaned. I appreciated that they had an easy online booking system, and were prompt on showing up within the time window. Unfortunately, due to the fact that I had a weird duct configuration and a clogged screen on the outside vent was up 3 stories, Tom wasn't able to do much. Due to these issues, he didn't charge me for coming out and did vacuum and clean what he could reach in my vent and in my dryer. So I thought I would give them a try. I booked a service call from Fireman Dryerman's website and selected my day and time, which was very convenient for me. I contacted this company due to the reviews on Yelp. I'm glad I decided to give them a try. First of all, the process to schedule an appointment is very easy and convenient. It's all done online so you can plan your day. Tom called me around the time of my appointment to tell me he was on his way. Tom did a great job of cleaning the dryer and showed me how much lint the dryer had and where the fires start. He also told me our outside vent was outside on the top of the roof. The dryer now dries so much faster as I had noticed it would take a long time to dry clothes. Definitely saving me money and time. I thought it was the dryer that needed service but was really all the lent that was clogged. Tom did indicate how often to clean the drawer and I admit, it was past that time. Trevor was on my roof (to check out where the dryer vent exhausts), in my attic to clean out the vent on that end, in the laundry area behind the dryer (where the space is very tight and difficult to maneuver) to clean out the vent and inside the dryer. He replaced my vent hose from the dryer to the wall, since the current one was crushed and one of the reasons why towels were taking long to dry. This is the first time I have posted a review on Yelp, but Fireman Dryerman deserves all the praise it can get! My dryer hose, replaced about 18 months ago by another company, came loose from the wall where it was clamped. I talked to Brett and he said Tom was available the next day. Tom came about 30 minutes earlier (!) than our appointment. He had to pull the dryer completely out of its cubbyhole to reach the area where the hose attached to the outside vent. He attached it so it will not come loose again, then offered to check the insides of the dryer--a lot of extra work. Didn't seem to be a whole lot of dust, etc., on the inside, but he vacuumed and "swiffered" out what there was. When he told me the charge, I said, "are you sure?" The price was extremely reasonable for the time he'd spent on the dryer. These guys are great!! read more
