I contacted the via Yelp this morning to request a dryer vent cleanout. My dryer has been taking 3-4 times as long to dry as it should, and today the vent light was on, so I know it needed a cleanout. They responded right away and had someone here quickly. He did a really nice job, including cleanup, and showed me photos of the buildup. It was pretty bad. He also helped position my dryer, which is in a very tight space, so the exhaust hose isn't kinked. He gave me his number and said to call if there are any issues or questions. Cleaning your dryer exhaust vent is one of those "adulting" tasks that you usually don't realize you need to handle until excess lint starts puffing out the other end or your dryer stops drying clothes. Hopefully, it's before the lint manages to catch your house on fire, anyway. And that, my friends is why this group of actual firemen started this company, to clean out dryer exhaust vents so they don't have to visit your house in a hurry with water hoses in hand. Our dryer vents up through the roof, a less than ideal design that makes it tough to clean. We had it cleaned by another company before we moved in four years ago, but I kept hearing such rave reviews about these guys that I decided to give them a try. It's super easy to book an appointment online through their website. You choose the day, time slot, and even the fireman assigned. They text or email you as requested to confirm and then again to remind you they're coming. They have an hour window because you're not the only job they're doing that day and sh*t can happen to slow them down. We got Nick and he was punctual, polite and knowledgeable. He vacuumed and brushed out the entire length of vent pipe, the dryer hose, the roof vent, and underneath the dryer. He climbed on the roof twice. He wasn't able to vacuum out the actual dryer because GE didn't make it very easy to access, but he did vacuum out the lint filter area, which had some build up too, even though we clean the screen after each load. It's amazing how much lint and dog hair gets past that screen! He took before and after photos, which I'm attaching for your viewing pleasure. Our dryer is working better than ever and our dryer door shuts really easily now. The cost was reasonable for a service we only need every 2-3 years, under $200. If you happen to have a dryer that opens at the front, they'll clean it out for $30 extra. We appreciate our local firemen caring enough to take the initiative to do this preventive service on their days off. Five stars and two thumbs up! Glad I didn't have to do it myself. Wow, I thought I had already done a prior review for them when they serviced my dryer back in April of 2019 but I had not! Shame on me. I had them back in November of this year as over two years had passed since their last visit. I echo all the positive reviews and comments for this company, they are outstanding! I did a tuneup on our dryer and tried cleaning the vent. It was obvious I didn't have the needed professional grade equipment to do it correctly. The wife reached out to the Fireman Dryerman. Wow! Super impressed with this company! They actually are firemen who work on their day off making sure homes are safe from dryer lint fires. My vent goes up through the attic to the roof. John went up on the roof and vacuumed out a ton of lint, that probably caused my dryer to blow out a heating element. I was amazed at how much lint accumulated because we always clean the lint filter and duct behind the dryer. John also replaced my old duct at no charge. We recently started having humidity issues in our laundry room to the point that moisture was building up and running down the walls. Our dryer was now also taking what seemed like twice as long to dry our clothes and a single cycle often left our clothes still damp to the touch. I was able to select a next day appoint on their super easy to use website and a quickly got a confirmation that my appointment was accepted. John sent me a text to let me know he was on the way and was right on time. He was extremely polite and wore a mask at all times while working around our house. He quickly assessed the issue and landed on the fact that it was very likely that the dryer vent that runs from the laundry room to the outside of the house was clogged. He was absolutely right and took the necessary measure to correct the issue. Our dryer is now running like new again, but best of all is that we are no longer exposed to a huge fire hazard in our home. He also left the laundry room cleaner than when he came. I am confident I will not need to use Fireman Dryerman anytime in the near future and would I consider that a job well done! Our dryer was taking multiple cycles to dry, I noticed a build up in lint below the trap. I called fireman dryer man to chat about the issues wondering if it was my 8 year old machine that could be the culprit. Brett agreed to come out and take a look. Scheduling was very easy and within 5 minutes of looking at my dryer he was able to pull a good amount of lint from below the trap. I agreed to a full service vent cleaning. Brett opened up the dryer and I could not believe how much lint ha accumulated! He cleaned it all out along with the hose and vent. Like magic, I was able to dry a full load of towels in one cycle! It's like a brand new dryer! Months later it's functioning properly and safe to use. Give Brett a call, he and hhis team were great! Fireman Dryerman is the best! We've used them twice just about 2 years apart and had the same stellar experience each time! Easy online scheduling, techs showed up on time, each were courteous and thorough. John arrived on time and found the issue with our lack of drying as soon as he inspected the new vent cap that was improperly installed by our roofers when we got a new roof a few weeks ago. He found it completely clogged with lint because they failed to remove a "pest" screen that is required to be removed by fire code for dryer vents because of the fire hazard. (This was negligence on the part of the roofers and they will be paying for the dryer vent service). He also cleaned the inside of the dryer and attached a new and much shorter vent hose from the dryer into the wall area to the vent (both at no additional cost). Fantastic! I bought a new washer/dryer a few years ago and Sears did a sloppy job installing it. I have had a bad feeling about the dryer vent tubing for a long time. The other day, my dryer gave a warning it was clogged. I booked online with Fireman Dryerman after finding their pricing online. Voila. Carlo arrived right on time, took the dryer apart to check it, replaced the rigid tubing Sears had smashed while doing the install, and cleaned out the exterior portion of the vent. He explained everything to me, which I appreciated and left my laundry room cleaner than it was when he arrived. The price was fair and I will not worry about my dryer for awhile.
