Absolutely terrible experience at the Firehouse Subs in Marysville. I placed an online order on 3/17/2025 and my boyfriend drove 20 minutes to pick it up. He had to wait an extra 20 minutes past the pick-up time because the staff was completely disorganized and struggling to keep up with orders. Other customers were also complaining about their orders, so clearly this isn't a one-time issue -- this place is a mess. When he finally got the order and drove another 20 minutes home, we discovered it was the wrong sandwich -- even though the receipt on the bag showed the correct order. I called the store and spoke with the manager, who admitted there was a "sandwich mix-up." His solution? Either remake the sandwich or give me a free one next time. That's completely unacceptable -- I already paid for the order, and I'm not driving another 40 minutes round trip to fix their mistake. I asked for a refund, which should've been the obvious solution, but the manager said he couldn't do that. Seriously? Now I have to dispute the charge with my credit card company, and I'm left with nothing to eat for lunch. Completely unacceptable. The fact that they wouldn't even refund the order after admitting their mistake is pathetic. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place. Terrible service, incompetent staff, and even worse customer service. I will never be going back. read more

My daughter have eaten at Firehouse Subs in Mt. Vernon, South Everett, and Marysville/Smokey Point, multiple times. Let me tell you the Jamaican Jerk sub we got here was hands down amazing. I have been on a sandwich kick lately and tried all the big chains to compare. Firehouse is by far better than the competition! The subs are huge and the ingredients are fresh. The sauce bar makes everything even better. They aren't on every block but are certainly worth the travel if you can get to them. read more

Facility is extremely dirty. We reached out to the owner to let them know that there was issues with their facility and how they were handling their staff that were extremely rude after we waited 30 minutes for our food when I asked them where our food was because other people got theirs first Talk to their staff and told that I should've told them that I placed my order and that I was there to pick it up even though it said it would be ready at 2:10 10 minutes after we placed it. When we were waiting. We watch them have their cooling systems fixed their coolers. The guy fixing them had to clean up all of the disgusting water out of their cooling system that they never clean and slopped it all around their food items , The whole time he was cleaning up the mess that they should never have allowed to get that bad. He was explaining to them that they actually do need to clean that stuff out as he told them it's floating mold and such. They have a lack of handling food. They have no problem cross contaminating wearing gloves in areas and not changing them touching faces using restrooms not washing hands. we used to come here all the time the facility was cleaner. Clearly management isn't paying attention to the reviews. Place is out of over half the soda options and a ton of ingredients. How are you out of white bread? You're a sandwich shop...overstock on bread. Also, the center of the seating area had probably 50 flies in the air. I didn't want to be rude and walk out because it was empty but when I saw that, all I could imagine was flies all over the food. This place needs to do better. read more

Wow is this place ever bad. This is my first visit to firehouse subs and will be my last visit. I was the only person in the restaurant there was three employees. The food- I ordered the brisket and cheddar sandwich in the medium size it was just under $10. It contained the equivalent of maybe four pieces of Carl budding meat. I also ordered jalapeños on the sandwich there was exactly one jalapeño ring on the very end of the sandwich. The actual taste of the sandwich wasn't half bad that's the reason for the second star. The nasty- The bathroom has not seen a cleaning in over a month would be my guess by the amount of Black and red mold and algae in the toilet and in the sink absolutely disgusting and no excuse for that whatsoever. Minus the extra earned star The staff -well I only dealt with one guy he was friendly and polite all in the same time that he knew he was going to screw me with my sandwich. My son loooooves firemen, so we stopped in to grab some sandwiches. The decor was nice. The restaurant was clean. Speed of service was to be expected- not overly long. I'm kind of surprised that they were out of so much of their menu- no pastrami, no grilled onions, no grilled peppers, who knows what else? Do they grill their onions offsite? If yes- no thank you. If no, why couldn't they grill the ungrilled onions they had? Food tasted good but was pretty sparse. We could've gotten twice as much food for our money at nearly any other sandwich place. I have no problem supporting our firefighters, but think about increasing the price by $1 and increasing the volume of the sandwiches. I'm not sure that we'll be back. Decor would get this 5 stars if the food weren't so bad. Staff was friendly and helpful. First let me say that I have been looking forward to eating here for months and finally got around to doing so. A close friend raves about the food so I thought it would be amazing. I ordered a #10 combo, and I am hoping to be able to add a photo that will show just how disappointing the sandwich was. I sat at a bar area next to the window so I could watch them make my sandwich in the reflection. I should have taken the hint when 1 of the 9 employees present took the "brisket" for my sandwich, which was wrapped in paper, out of a heating machine, held it over an open trash can and began squeezing the liquid out of it. The young lady then place the meat product on a squished flat toast longish bun, squeezed a little BBQ sauce on top and cut it to serve. When the sandwich was placed in front of me, I saw that the meat was cut so thin that you could see through it. It had been rolled up in a sort of tube shape to give it more body. The portion was very small. In fact, I gave up Subway due to their reduced portions on their subs, but this was a joke. For a $11.19 meal, I expected a whole lot more. Jimmy Johns put them to shame. Now, I've eaten my share of Arby's roast beef sandwiches and I will tell you that the meat on the sandwich in front of me was not quite the same quality, it was actually worse. No flavor at all. It tasted of bread and BBQ sauce. That's it. The half of a pickle spear they placed next to the sandwich had a mushy rotten spot on one side. Clearly visible, and they just left it there. The fountain drink is self serve, and that turned out ok. And the Mrs. Vickie's salt and vinegar chips were nice and crispy, which is no surprise. I gave Firehouse a try. I visited the Smokey Point Firehouse Subs on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 2:15 pm. At the time I placed my order, I was the only patron in the restaurant. I wondered if I had just missed the lunch rush? The entire restaurant was filthy: tables, floors, and door. Again, I was the only customer in there. After I placed my order, I proceeded to wiping down their tables with napkins, and picking up the trash off the floor. 3 young men were "working" behind the counter. While 1 was preparing my order, the other two watched as I cleaned up the dining area. No offer to help. During this Coronavirus epidemic, minimally these tables should be sanitized after each patron. At a different sub sandwich place I visited in Lynnwood, the workers were wearing rubber gloves and masks, diligently cleaning the dining area. Maybe Firehouse could learn something from their competition? read more

Our sandwich's were good as per usual, but the mac and cheese came out cold and gritty after they forgot we ordered it. The customer service was unbelievably bad, a female worker that had glasses, facial piercings and red ish hair who's name started with a C was glaring at me and my boyfriend, and was turning around and talking to another worker and then they both would look in our direction and laugh. i was very upset by this and will no longer be going to this location. read more

The wife and I decided to try this place out. We heard that they were pretty pricy. The food was amazing but the service was very slow for 2 simple small sandwiches. Now on to the prices. $4.99 for a small and the small was about 3 inches. Make it a combo for an additional $2.99. Now for the math, that's $8.00 if you choose a drink and a bag of chips. I understand that a portion of the prices go towards the fire fighters supplies. I'm all for supporting the cause, but let's make sure the consumer receives a better value for the dollar. I go out of my way for these subs. It takes longer than Subway or definitely Jimmy John's however the way they make the sandwiches are worth the longer wait. It's still fast food. Very tasty!! They have a large assortment of sauces. Round up to help the firefighters program. read more

The food was good at at the quality expected. My five star rating goes to the staff, particularly Michael I think his name was. They were all friendly and seemed happy to work there, but Michael seemed proud as he explained the pickle bucket to us and how all the proceeds go to the firemen. read more

This was my first experience with the restaurant and it was nothing but disappointing. I ordered the medium hook and ladder on wheat bread and added cucumbers and green peppers. The sandwich looked like it was made for a grade school child with how pathetic it was in size. The bread wasn't even toasted, it was just warm and soggy from the loads of mayonnaise that was oozing out everywhere. The cucumbers and green peppers I asked to be added never made it on and the other veggies were barely there. The sandwich was just soggy, sad and lacked any real flavor. I'm not sure if this was just an issue from lack of employee care or just overall poor quality/recipe that comes from Firehouse as a whole. Either way, they need some serious work. read more

Very friendly staff here, was chatting with the cashier who turned out she was from North Dakota, where I am from! I always get their steak sandwich here on wheat bread, sadly they were out of their pickles- which is why not giving them 5 stars lol. Overall, much better then Subway or Jimmy Johns! Top 3 sandwich chains around IMO (Quiznos and Jersey Mikes being the other two) They do have the Coke Freestyle machine, which is a nice choice for someone like me who doesn't like Coke, plenty of choices in that machine!
