Best hairdresser and colorist in the state. Will travel to see. No wonder she was featured on TV.

Great blowout by Angel!! He straightened my hair and it looked fabulous. My hair is wavy and frizzy…read moreand a lot of it. Scheduling was easy. Highly recommend!

I had a disappointing experience at this Drybar location that left me feeling really discouraged…read more I came in for a wash and blowout and requested the "Southern Comfort" style with as much volume as possible -- big, bouncy curls. I also explained to my stylist that I'm currently recovering from major surgery and was only four days post-op, which is why I came in for the service since I'm unable to wash my hair myself right now. My stylist was very sweet, but the service itself felt rough during the wash and blow-dry. When the blowout was finished, I was honestly shocked at how underwhelming the result was. There was barely any curl, very little volume, and my hair was frizzy and poofy rather than smooth and polished. It looked nothing like the style I requested or what I've received at Drybar in the past. Because I was already feeling lightheaded and exhausted from surgery recovery, I didn't have the energy to address it in the salon and decided to just go home. However, I called the salon shortly after leaving to explain the situation. Unfortunately, the conversation with the manager, Bailey, made the experience even worse. She immediately came across as defensive and cold rather than empathetic. She told me she would call me back before the end of the day, but I never received a call. During the conversation she questioned why I hadn't said something while I was still there so another stylist could fix it, which felt dismissive given the circumstances I had already explained. I understand that things don't always go perfectly with services, but the way concerns are handled makes all the difference. The lack of empathy and follow-through left me feeling uncomfortable and disappointed enough that I will not be returning.

She's super thorough and takes her time with not only when doing your hair, but making sure she knows exactly what you want. She's also honest, which is HUGE. She'll be upfront when telling you what needs to be done to get your goal hair, so I let her take the reins and I've never been disappointed. She's extremely knowledgeable and knows what process will work best for you and your hair to achieve exactly what you want. Every time she has done my hair I get the most compliments I have ever gotten and I just feel good! She notices the little things and will communicate with you during the process too. For example, while doing my hair she asked me "hey do you wear your hair up a lot?" (And of course I said yes because I rock Ariana Grande pony tails and buns like it's my job) and then asked me if she wanted some highlights on the underside of my hair so they'll show when I wear it up. And of course I said yes- it was a great idea! Now my highlights show when I rock a high pony and ties together the whole natural blonde look. The products she uses are top of the line and my hair always looks and feels healthier after visiting her chair. And on an unrelated note, she gives the BEST HEAD MASSAGES when washing your hair. She exceeds expectations when it comes to everything.

I just found her online after searching for days and followed my instincts after seeing her work on online pictures. NO REGRETS!!!! I got married a couple of days later after getting my hair done so it was really important to me that it was perfect and IT WAS. So so so happy with her magic! I moved to alaska since getting it done in October but I might be flying back just so Rachel can do my hair again! Also I have to mention how FAST she works, I was really impressed.

Drybar never disappoints! Everytime. Every stylist. Every occasion. My hair always looks fabulous!!…read moreI especially love Elisa and Ari, and Carrie.

Unfortunately, this was yet another disappointing experience at Drybar's Paradise Valley location…read morewith the stylist Tyler and after multiple visits with similar issues, I genuinely don't see myself returning. As much as I want to love going.. I give credit where it's due always because the phoenix camelback location this wasn't an issue. My appointment was scheduled for 5:45 PM. Due to traffic, I called ahead to let them know that my ETA was 5:47 PM at the absolute latest, only two minutes past my appointment time. Instead of simply acknowledging the heads-up, I was told that whether I could still be accommodated would depend on their availability, including potential walk-ins. When I asked whether there was a grace period for scheduled appointments, I couldn't get a clear answer. Eventually, a manager took over the call, apologized because the employee was training, and said she would notify the location. I actually arrived at 5:46 PM, just ONE minute after my scheduled appointment. However, I wasn't seated until approximately 5:50, and my stylist didn't begin until 5:55. I specifically requested the Manhattan style, completely straight, because I knew that adding curls or additional styling would take longer with my naturally curly hair. I communicated exactly what I wanted from the beginning. By 6:55 PM, an entire hour after my stylist began, my blowout STILL wasn't finished. At that point, I had dinner plans and schoolwork to complete, so I personally asked her to stop. I left with an UNFINISHED blowout, which is incredibly disappointing considering I booked and expected a complete service. What really bothered me was what happened at checkout. My stylist went to the front desk, and I accompanied her, only to find out that she initially wanted to charge me an ADDITIONAL $120 because of the time spent on my hair. Mind you, my hair wasn't even finished! The front desk receptionist actually acknowledged that she didn't think it was fair to charge me that much considering my service was incomplete. Ultimately, I was still charged an additional $20 for going over the allotted time. I want to be clear that I wasn't upset with the receptionist. I even told her that I understood she was simply following company policy and doing her job. I wasn't interested in arguing with someone who didn't create the policy. However, even the fact that she recognized the original charge was unreasonable speaks volumes. This is also not my first experience with unexpected additional charges at Drybar. I have naturally curly, textured hair, and it seems that every visit comes with additional fees because my hair takes longer to style. I completely understand that different hair types require different amounts of time, but if additional charges are anticipated, that should be communicated clearly BEFORE the service begins, not presented as a surprise at checkout. If they feel like my hair is going to take longer just by looking at it then that should be clearly communicated. My original blowout and add-on were expected to total approximately $75-$80. I don't mind paying for a service, but I do mind paying more than expected for a service that wasn't even completed. Additionally, my stylist was not particularly welcoming or personable. There was very little interaction, and I honestly felt as though she was frustrated to be working with my hair texture. As a Black woman, that is an incredibly uncomfortable feeling, especially when visiting a salon that advertises services for different hair types. My biggest issue is the lack of transparency and fairness. Customers are expected to respect appointment times, yet my appointment began ten minutes late. Customers are expected to pay additional fees when services run over, yet there seems to be little consideration for whether the service was completed or whether those charges were ever communicated. I genuinely wanted to enjoy my experience, but I left with unfinished hair, unexpected charges, and an overall disappointing impression of the service. Drybar needs to do better when it comes to scheduling, pricing transparency, and providing consistent, welcoming service for clients with textured hair. Just gives if you have curly hair / are a black woman don't bother.. I guess I should have done my own research & not trusted the black models that they have on the marketing side.

Then I had an event and HAD to get my hair done. In I went and I met the new owner Pamela. It was her first day as owner and the place was crazy. Since then I've been pretty much every week twice a week. It's gotten to a point where I'm able to go to anyone there which is so wonderful as everyone there does things the "right way" Angela, Kara, Carley and of course Brayden. I love every time I go in it's like being greeted by friends and family and I totally feel like I'm going for social time. My hair looks and feels great and the products (Oribe) I love. Thanks everyone for my home away from home with better conversation

I just had the worst experience that I've had in a long time at a hair salon…read more It was my first time at primp & blow and I was given Cecilia. Cecelia could care less about what I wanted. In fact, she went running over the wash bowl and I didn't even know where she went. I had to look around for her . When I asked her to do a few things the way I like she just continue to do what you wanted. I asked for a body and curved under. I got flippy hair. She should be fired. She knew the whole time what I wanted done and she was just doing what she wanted to do to get me out of this chair as fast as she could. She was actually smirking about it. These type of employees are not good for business. She should be let go.
