I was a guest in a Hotel when I ask 4an ambulance due to acute status asthmatics…read moreFireman was interviewing me I diminishing my symptoms.Been a critical care ,Emergency Room, Open heart Surgery,Cathlab interventional& Bonemarrow transplant ICU. IN MY PRACTICE U NEVER TREAT THE VITAL SIGNS,U treat the pts verbal symtoms. He was looking for severe dyspnea, circomoral & nailed cyanosis.I was surprise that he was dismissing audible expiratory wheeze & difficulty expiration ,I guess d group were disappointed to answer a call & they did not have a code blue, but I was in a state of rapid response. The concierge was getting frustrated with their VERY LIMITED BEHAVOIR,dismissing & minimizing how I feel.Im glad I insisted for them to take me to CRMC.The hospital gave me IV STEROIDS & RESPIRATORY TREATMENT. THIS GROUP NEEDS A REFRESHER COURSE.

Firemen. My heroes…read more There are 7 fire stations located in the city of Corona at this time. And most of the time, we only get to appreciate them during emergencies like when your house is burning down or someone needs immediate medical help. I am so thankful for this service. But there is yet another service they provide that is less known. And one that has helped save my house from flooding more than once. Yeah, I know Southern California is going through a drought. A couple of weeks ago, though, we were anticipating a torrential rainfall. And after living in the same house for 30 years, I knew that an uncommonly large river of water is known to flow into my back yard from my alley when Mother Nature decides to dump on us that badly and that quickly. And it oozes into my back patio room. Bad design, but we never fixed it. So here is the point. Corona Fire Department has sand bags, pre-loaded and free. Residents are allowed 10 each. So, when the big storm was announced, we ran out to pick up our 10, then moseyed over one more time to get another small batch to finish the blockade. Just enough! As of this writing, Station #1 is the only station in Corona that provides these sandbags. You may wish to call ahead to confirm they have some ready. And if you live in a different city, contact your local Fire Department to find out if they have this available. Don't come here! They have a limited supply. So very helpful, thank you for giving us the tools to save our house.

I love this city lol…read more I partially grew up and went to high school in Corona. The experience was great. Corona has some great schools. Some of the safest schools in my opinion. There's a lot of good food in the city of Corona. Miguel's Jr and senior was born here lol Anyone who lives in Corona or used to live here, knows about Miguel's and the Miguel family. Bakers also exists here as well as Luna Grill and plenty other gems. Corona is not too far from Orange County, but is much cheaper to live. Most places close early in Corona. It's rare to find spots that are open 24 hours. It's a city that goes to sleep early lol To be fair, the night owls can head to Riverside to stay out late. It's not a far drive from Corona.

I love the city of Corona and how strong the community is, but I hate that the city has so much…read morewasted potential. The city has not been transparent about the plans for the 6th street mall revitalization. What was advertised as a walkable, shoppable downtown-- that was in partnerships with the LAB holdings property management, responsible for some popular venues in OC-- quickly turned into a stagnant project with deceitful renderings. The project was initially promoted to be finished by 2026, now sits pending with plans constantly changing and not reflective of what was initially offered. @takebackcorona on IG does a good job diving into this. It's important the city is transparent with plans and honors the wishes of the community. This project is funded by our property taxes, and the city is going along with plans that do not align with the wishes of the people or Corona, as demonstrated in a survey of what people feel like we need. Corona needs more spaces that families can hangout. We shouldn't have to drive to neighboring cities to find things to do. EX: the farmhouse in riverside, rodeo x in Ontario All of the fun things to do, spacious parks, family friendly amphitheaters are all out of Corona. The city is doing the most to make Corona a passing by city, and not enough for the families in Corona to enjoy. If you are against more dense housing that brings added traffic, while also not having anywhere meaningful to spend time in Corona, please pay attention to the city council members and what they plan to do. Staying active and informed is the only way to have a corona that is community focused. We do not want more property taxes to fund more projects that the community doesn't believe in.
