I attended TA back in 2008 and graduated in 2009 and made some good friends. At the time the school…read morewas located off of River Rd which I know it's at a different location now. The instructors were so kind, atmosphere of the school was beautiful. Here are some things I didn't notice about it that I wish I would have noticed at the time I was attending. The prices for service were just as much as a normal hair salon. There weren't a lot of walk-ins so we didn't get that much hands on experience with clients on the floor. BIG We were lucky if we got one client a week so majority of the time we worked on mannequin heads. They also didn't let us experience color ratios/mixing and being in the back bar or the receptionist areas. When I did have a client in my chair (most of the time it was my family members to come support me) and I would do a haircut on them it was like pulling teeth to have an instructor come check my work. They seemed annoyed when I asked for help. They didn't teach me to make sections when it comes to doing haircuts they always showed me to start in the middle with a big section and to slowing follow the guide towards the crown of the head. They barely focused on the things we needed to know to pass the state boards. It felt like we needed to teach ourselves how to do haircuts, color, perms, shampoo sets, facials, waxing, pedicures, manicures, etc. Looking back I wish I would have attended Evan's Hair School because they get way more experience with walk ins and their prices are much cheaper. It's been a rude awakening with working in the hair industry fresh out of school and after being a sahm for 10+ years and feeling absolutely clueless as to what I'm doing. This hair school is also very very expensive so that also is so frustrating to feel like this after spending all the money and time here.

Jaynee did a great job! Highly recommend..she is the best! If you are looking for great prices and…read morequality this is the place to go.

Owners are not present. Drugs are common. No supervision. Lot of TV time. Treatment..no. Money…read moreto owners..yes. Owners think they have worked hard and don't need to be around and like to enjoy driving around in their nice cars. Before sending family ask if they know owners or have meaningful interactions. From experience they don't want to be bothered after you go through the front door. Ask others if they only think you will see owners if by chance the drive past you and looking as if a program is not what's on their mind.

TW- ABUSE, SUICIDE ATTEMPTS, DRUGS So I agree with the other…read morereview on here. People were leaving left and right without graduation the program or being helped into a new home, including myself. My reason? I was verbally and physically assaulted by another girl (the same one who was sneaking Jack Daniel's, weed, and non-prescription Xanax probably among other illegal substances despite supposedly being drug tested- interesting if you ask me), who was incredibly mentally unstable and should have been in a lock-down center at the very minimum, upon BREAKING IN to my room at late night hours as I was asleep. Another two students were psychologically abusive. One ran away a month into the program and ended up homeless and jobless. The other one even had a nickname for me. I crap you not, that nickname was "ugly b!@#h" and staff never did anything about it. Oh but when I bumped her shoulder she threatened to press assault charges and it was then that staff forced me to CALL HER MOM (HIPAA violation) and APOLOGIZE to HER. This girl had recorded many videos of me being bullied by the girl that ran away, posting each one to her TikTok. They were removed when everyone called it to her attention that the behavior was unacceptable. She was largely annoying, we could be having a serious conversation and she'd come flying into the room wearing underwear as shorts and as for the rest of the outfit, you would have to look closely to see that she wasn't entirely NAKED, and she would throw herself across the couch yelling "LOVE YASELF" with her phone in selfie position complete with a full sized duck bill on her mouth. It made us all very uncomfortable, and everyone in the room was mortified, some laughing uncomfortably. The best part is that this happened on more than one occasion. The girl I just mentioned and the girl that ran away were making pizza rolls in the kitchen one night, loudly making TikToks and pissing off everyone in the house. To be clear, the staff leave the house at night, and I was literally able to sneak out multiple times as a result. But anyways. My room was literally the closest room in the entire house to the kitchen and my door wouldn't shut all the way. Understandably very annoyed, I came out of my room and asked, "Why the actual hell do you have to do this at one in the morning?" to which I was countered with the most cruelty and abuse I have ever faced in one night and I'm pretty sure I have never heard so many derogatory terms being used to describe someone's appearance in one sentence. It was enough to make my already miserable self leave the house and eventually stand in the middle of the road in hopes that a car would hit me. But instead I ended up being taken to the ER by police for being at risk of suicide. For whatever reason they had to contact ATC, who conned them into not placing me in better care. I was driven home by a staff that had the full on AUDACITY to be mad at me. Nonetheless, the footage from that night, and one of the day staff watched it too just to sympathize with me by saying "Yeah she was intense!" And that was all. This same staff showed up to the program, with her vape, every day, and whenever she got the chance, would go on the driveway and vape for ten or more minutes at a time and if we needed something and went outside to ask her about it, she got UPSET with us. Like hold up. Who's vaping in a program with a bunch of recovering drug addicts? The best part of that is that she wasn't even the only staff who would vape at our house. Staff did nothing about the bullying. Abso-freaking-lutely NOTHING. I had to leave with no graduation and go live with my then boyfriend in Colorado. But that's the rainbow after the storm. Years later, we are to be married in two months. Sucks to suck ATC!
