In a little bit of serendipity, as I was asking silly questions about different flavors and gluten, I realized I was chatting with the owner of the place. He talked to me a little bit about the prevalence of celiac disease in Italy - that's why you need to only ask at most places, and they will have a gluten-free substitute for most pastas, pizzas, and even some dessert items! It was just a nice treat to talk to the owner of such a busy place, on a busy night, as two out of towners who just happened to be passing by. The space inside is very small and only about 4 small tables on the outside so be prepared to potentially wait. I was actually shocked how amazing their ice creams looked, they had some of the most amazing flavours I've seen so far in Sicily.
