I shopped at Fink's Jewelers in Roanoke, Virginia on my way to Chattanooga Tennessee. I was assisted by Ken in Roanoke, Virginia. I also shopped at the Chattanooga location when I got into town where I was assisted by Luis Rodriguez and Alex. My experience at both locations was exemplary of what a shopping experience should be for high-end jewelry and luxury watches. Since I was relocating to Chattanooga Tennessee. I wanted to build a relationship with a local dealer for watch brands and jewelry that I plan on buying. I primarily worked with Luis Rodriguez at Fink's Jewelers in Chattanooga Tennessee. Luis was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, professional and also very easy to work with. Luis spent an extremely generous amount of time guiding me through the process of selecting my first watch that will become part of a collection of luxury watches. While there I also saw a piece of jewelry that caught my eye which is rare. I have very specific taste in jewelry and it's very hard for me to find anything I like for myself or as gift for someone else. However, the selection at Fink's Jewelers is quite exceptional and I actually found a wide variety of stunning pieces I admired. So, I also picked a beautiful necklace along with my first watch during my visit to Fink's jewelry store. I don't often write reviews, but I was so thoroughly pleased and happy with how everything went. So much so, that my entire experience at Fink's jewelry and with Luis Rodriguez earned my praise and a very positive review. I purchased a David Yurman bracelet with matching necklace. Within 4 months the black coating began to discolor. In the 5th month I returned the bracelet and was advised the bracelet would be sent in for repair with an estimate within 2 weeks. After a month I returned to the store to inquire. At this point I was advised coating is not covered but the bracelet has been sent back to manufacturer. After several more weeks and no return calls were made I returned back to the store. At this point I was advised it would take 3 months to determine if the bracelet would be repaired free of charge or an estimate to repair. After 11 weeks I returned back to the store for an update. Was advised the bracelet has not been examined. Over 4 months had passed when I was advised the bracelet would not be repaired free of charge. Was further advised the coating on the bracelet was not manufactured for everyday wearing but I could pay to have the bracelet repaired. At this point it was very apparent that I did not agree with the outcome. As a courtesy they offered to waive the shipping and $100 of the $300 cost. When I stated that makes no logical sense to pay more money for a product that could not be worn daily the receptionist became very defensive. I requested for my bracelet to be returned without repairs. It has been almost 5 months since I released my bracelet to Finks. Upon picking it up today I was charged a shipping fee. Just more insult to injury. Thank you Finks for ruining a long standing relationship. I will never purchase another product from Finks or provide a positive recommendation. This bracelet has been in Finks possession longer than I have owned it. Thank you Finks for standing behind a product you sale and providing superb customer service. Absolutely wonderful experience at Finks yesterday with Erin Rose. I am just to the point financially where I can afford nicer jewelry and am not that knowledgeable on the topic. I felt very welcomed by Erin and the entire staff. I never felt judged even though I came in with messy hair and my river sandals on. Erin was incredibly friendly, informative, and down to earth. She took the time for me to try and retry on some simple tiny diamond studs probably 20 times! She was patient all the while. I knew I could go online and find small diamond studs and a simple thin gold chain for a lower cost. However, you CAN NOT beat going into a quality store where you can try on the jewelry in person and be helped by such a fantastic sales lady such as Erin. (I did not know her prior to this review btw!! Haha) I am thrilled with my purchases also knowing that the quality is top notch compared to what I would have found online. Nothing beats touching, feeling, seeing and having an expert to help you along the way. I have & will never use another jeweler/jewelry store! My engagement ring, wedding ring, and now anniversary earrings have been hand crafted here! I inherited some Diamond earrings from my great grandmother and wanted them reset, the Assistant manager Arseniy was beyond hospitable from the moment my husband and I walked through the doors. He personally drew up my dream setting for my earrings and immediately had them sent off to be hand crafted by their jewelry designer. Arseniy delivered on everything, he called us when he heard the quote of the final earring design as we come from out of state, and he called us when they were ready and going to be shipped out. The customer service is not lacking at Finks that is for sure. My earrings I proudly wear. Ow are and heirloom and the whole experience was truly sentimental. My husband purchased a Roberto Coin necklace for me for our 25th anniversary. The clasp needed to be repaired so i took it in to be fixed. When i picked it up i was not told that the old clasp was not repaired but replaced. A few months later the clasp turned. I returned it to the store and was then told that they had to replace the clasp. I was told that the chemicals in our skin will sometimes turn rhe jewelery. The chain , cross have not turned. I was not told the truth or i would have asked for my old clasp back. They kept my gold clasp and gave me junk. I wonder how many people this has happened to. I always thought that they were reputable. Everytime i look in the mirror i am reminded how i was ripped off. I have no faith at all in this jeweler. read more

I have lived and worked worldwide for over 38 years, only about 18 months ago migrating back to the US to be near our daughters, their husbands and "Grandma Magnets". What a joy to live here in Roanoke, a Big Little Town like we grew up in. After over 30 years Asia-wide, I had become accustomed to negotiating prices in any store, which is seldom accepted here. But I do compare pricing a lot and customer service more so. I have always known that the lower overhead for website retailers allows them to discount a bit over "walk in" stores. I recent was in the market for a Grand Seiko limited edition watch that is literally "sold out" in 90%+ of retailers for same, US-wide, but found one on the website of Finks Jewelry here in Roanoke.. And it wasn't marked up like some watch retailers do on limited editions. The staff and especially the store manager, Ms. Keisha La Pradd, were very professional, focused on my requirement and went out of their way to find it at one of their other stores. And after they brought it into their Roanoke store, they were not pushy to sell it to me. I bought the watch and love it! About 8 months ago, I inquired about a no date Rolex Submariner. We all know the horror stories of trying to purchase a Rolex from an Authorized Distributer these last 3 years. Keisha agreed that almost customers usually ask for one with a date. So I put my name on the waitlist for a no date Submariner, thinking I'd be very far down the list and may never be called. She told me that if a no date model came in, I'd get the call as the only one wanting that model. We'll, I got the call ten days ago and purchased it. She knew it would be a "hand me down" for my local son-in-law, and not an attempt to purchase and resell on Chrono22 for 60%+ over the purchase price. Her word to call me 8 months ago was her bond! And recently, I was in the market for an 18K gold Renaissance Bracelet from the David Yurman collection. She had one in stock and it was listed at the exact same price that the David Yurman webpage was selling it for!! I purchased it knowing she had not marked it up over the MSRP. I always prefer bricks and mortar with good customer service and honest business principles over those discounts usually offered by the web-based retailers. I have always preferred face to face interaction, as it is invaluable in building a long term business relationship wherein sincerity is involved in the equation. And additionally, you always have someone to come back to if a problem develops after the sale. I must say that the down to earth customer service at Finks Jewelry is unparalleled in my 74 years of worldwide experience, it is very sincere and friendly without any push to purchase, and with a "can-do" attitude. Do yourself a favor when in the market next for a nice watch or jewelry for someone special and visit Finks Jewelry to compare to wherever you have visited first. I called Fink's earlier this week and asked about repairing my TAG Heuer dive watch. Several times I asked if there was a watch repair person onsite that could repair the watch (i.e. replace o-rings, fix the mechanism, etc...) They told me that the person that would repair my watch was at their location. One odd thing that came up was that it would take about a week for them to give me an estimate for repair. Today I was speaking with an ex-employee of Fink's who told me that they would be shipping my watch out for repair. Whatever the price to fix the watch would be Fink's would just double the price. Smells like a Fink! I am not upset that they would ship the watch out for repair just that they would not be honest with me. I thought it was odd that it would take a week just to give me an estimate. Now I know why. I was planning to drop the watch off this evening. Glad I learned the rest of the story. read more

I am the sort of person who hates buying things in stores. I would much rather conduct my research online, price shop, and buy something without having to talk to someone about it. I almost did so again, but thought I would at least check with some local stores first. We went to a few of the local stores, where we were pushed to sign up for credit cards before we had even found any rings we liked. We were told about financing arrangements and 2-day sales that were rapidly expiring before we were shown the merchandise available. We decided to check out Fink's at the last minute, and we were greeted by Erin. She asked us about our style, our materials of choice, and our wedding date. She helped me narrow down what I was looking for, and she found exactly what my fiancee was looking for. She had to research catalogs to find the combination of size, finish, and material that I had decided I wanted, and she ordered two different rings before we found it. In the end, Erin found us each exactly what we were looking for. We never felt pressured. I felt that Erin's singular goal was to find rings that we would love. She succeeded. I couldn't be happier that we chose Finks, and that we lucked out to find Erin that Saturday afternoon. My first time purchasing an engagement ring. Gretchen paid a lot of attention to detail and always went the extra mile to make sure I got just what I wanted. She was a pleasure to work with and made the whole process easier. I was even able to examine the diamonds under 10x lens which none of the other jewelers I looked around the area volunteered to do. Finks has a good selection of rings and probably one of the best stores in the Roanoke area. This review relates to the new Finks location in Birkdale, NC. I reside three miles from the store. I have preciously purchased items from the Finks stores at Southpark and Northlake in Charlotte. On March 5, 16 I dropped off my wife's Breitling to get the battery replaced. This location did not have anyone to service watches so it was sent to Breitling. Breitling emails an estimate to Finks on March 11, 16 for repair. I get a phone call from Finks on March 22, 16 informing me of the estimated cost to repair the watch. I ask the rep at Finks to email me a copy of the estimate. I have no idea why it took Finks 11 days to call me with the estimate. I should have just taken the watch to the Southpark location, as they have a watch maker, or mailed the watch to Breitling myself. We purchase a lot of jewelry and will strictly patron Southpark mall rather than the Birkdale Finks location. read more
