This was a big job requiring wraparound scaffolding, a lot of overhead work, and tons of prep on the old surfaces. Richard was in constant contact with us throughout the entire process and didn't miss a single thing. Each and every item we discussed initially was taken care of and done very well... he didn't miss a thing. I am quite pleased with the result, and things turned out just beautiful. We have several properties and this isn't our first time hiring someone for this kind of work. I wish everyone had this man's work ethics and commitment to quality. In addition, he's easy to talk to, knows the answers, and has the experience to get things done right. We'll definitely look to Richard for the next job. If you need this type of work done and are searching for the right man, you have found him.

We looked into renovating the kitchen (over $30,000) refinishing the kitchen ($15,000) or re-painting (about $5,000). Here was nothing wrong with our cabinets and we loved our kitchen design, so we went forward with painting. I am so glad we did! We have essentially a brand new kitchen. Edgar and his team came in the first day to clean and take down the doors. They sanded, primed, and painted the kitchen cabinets and back splash. The paint they use is really high quality we've I know it won't come off like other paints. The time alone we saved in sanding is worth the price. The whole process to about a week and a half. The company does EVERYTHING- they even moved our fridge. I would definitely go through this company again, I'm already looking to hire them for exterior painting because of their honesty, and work ethic, and quality of work. I am attaching before and after pictures for you to see.

He came for a walk through and even pointed out to me what he wanted his team to go over. Didn't look for a quick way out. Then my outlet on a plug went out while they were working and he made sure his electrician came out to fix it right away. I had asked if he wanted half the payment now and balance when it was all done since the paint was pretty much completed, he said no it was okay we could just wait until it was all done. So not quick to just hurry and get paid. Again very impressed with how Edgar conducted business he is young guy and it's not often you see that anymore. Will definitely give more business when I need something and refer to friends and family.

Gabe Ewing completed our project on-time, on-budget and with an unparalleled attention to detail…read moreand care. The scope of the project was to smooth-out the existing orange peel finish on all walls using a Level-5 finish. And do a custom paint with accent colors on certain architectural features and accent walls. Replacing all interior door hardware in the process. Our project was also complicated by the fact that we just installed a brand new hardwood flooring which was a significant investment for us and we wanted to ensure it was properly protected. Gabe did an outstanding job not only painting and finishing the drywall using Level-5 finish but also protecting our floors throughout the entire duration of this massive project using very durable materials and innovative technique. The job site was always tidy and clean and after the project was over Gabe personally made sure that all construction materials were removed from the property leaving it in excellent condition. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gabe Ewing and his team -- they have exceeded all our expectations! Thank you Gabe!

When THEY finished, we were left with unpainted interior walls, window trim repairs undone and/or unpainted, and mismatched paint color on stucco repair saying they had not quoted the full project as discussed. We paid a premium thinking it was a comprehensive coordinated project. Review the quote carefully to ensure the service you discussed is what was actually quoted. He did what was in quote (outdoor trim and very minor stucco repair), but not what we walked through and discussed. We will need to hire another professional to finish the job.

Since I wasn't in the area, we mostly communicated through text and phone calls. I appreciate how much pride they took in their work, completing everything on time with high quality. In the past (for the same project), I had other contractors I tried to hire who never showed up to do the job.

From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. Steve and Jesse's professionalism and honesty really stood out they never asked for a dime until the job was completely finished, and we walked through everything together to make sure we were completely satisfied. That kind of trust and pride in workmanship is rare these days. The quality of their painting is unmatched. They painted our newly installed shaker doors and trim with such perfection that they look like they came straight from the cabinet shop -- perfectly matching the cabinet finish. It's clear they understand paint, its quality, and its purpose. A true tradesman through and through. On top of their skill, the care they showed for our home was amazing. Every single day they cleaned up and organized their tools in one location so our home stayed as livable as possible. Even outside, after pressure washing, sanding, and scraping, they went the extra mile by vacuuming up every last paint chip so nothing was left in the planters or around the house. Another concern of mine prior to the painting was I have permanent lighting under the eves of the entire front of our house first and second story. They meticulously masked every single light prior to painting, making sure it all blended in seamlessly, keeping me from having to remove all the lighting and then re-install once they were done !!! The attention to detail went far beyond just the painting. They truly make the statement "You get what you pay for" so obvious from day one!! Our house feels brand new inside and out, and we've had so many compliments from friends and neighbors. We couldn't be happier and would recommend McKenzie Painting (it is a father Steve and son Jesse )to anyone looking for someone who not only does top-quality work but also truly cares about the customer and their home.

I was leery because of all the horror stories you hear about contractors but George absolutely delivered - above and beyond the expectations he set. I had a few prices and Gastelum was not the cheapest but definitely not the highest. Right about the middle of the road from a cost perspective. But, the service and quality are top notch. The crew (4 guys Monday, including George - 2 guys Tuesday and half day Wednesday) knocked out the job in half the time they committed to AND had the house cleaned up and shiny by mid day Wednesday. Initially, they said they'd be done Friday. Very impressive speed! And the quality, it's amazing how clean the lines are, there's no drips on the walls or drips in the floor. The house looks brand new again after only 2 days! The crew was great and while there was some small talk, they were here to work and they crushed it. Thank you George, Zach, Malik, and James for doing such an amazing job. My wife loves it so that's a huge win for me! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Gastelum Painting!
