Wren Windows cleared out gutters for a couple neighbors last November and I flagged Rick down and asked whether they might be able to tackle the remaining cleanup of vine remnants on our house. While he said they were too busy, he offered to come back in the spring. We set a tentative date/time about 5 months later. I checked in w/ Rick a couple days ago and he confirmed they still planned to come on the same day and time. He and his teammate arrived on time today and promptly went after the project. The final result met our expectations and the price was very fair. Beyond that, both Rick and her partner were great on communication and genuinely seem like nice people. I would not hesitate to recommend Wren Windows for gutter clearing, window cleaning or other special projects like ours.

We did the premium house cleaning and window wash with the 5 day window rain guarantee. I wasn't…read morecompletely disappointed but I wasn't jumping up and down with amazement either. They had a "last minute" opening to get us in June 1st in the afternoon. I couldn't be home but they said usually you don't need to be anyways and could move forward. I was able to be home when they started but not finish. I let the gentleman know before he started I did have to leave. The mildew and algae was removed which was our biggest concern on the back of the house. Other then that I had very low expectations so it wasn't surprising to return home to see dried residue on the home or that there was still leaves, spiderwebs and debris stuck in some of the windows etc. I put a call into Tom and he explained some of the stuff that didn't come off was from the mulch and called artillery mold. I was under the assumption of the home needed some elbow grease they'd scrub or whatever they needed to do. He said this only comes of with your nail. He said they could come out and they do a rinse on the house to get rid of the marks that were dried residue. I also let home know it rained that night so since we had the 5 day window guarantee for rain we could just schedule and do it all at the same time. Scheduling and communication was more difficult to have them come back. I wasn't super impressed with their response time or followup. They showed up today, June 18th but I wasn't aware of when or if they were coming since there wasn't any followup communication. Most of the marks had washed away and he wasn't aware about the windows. The employee explained something that I'm sure makes sense to them that it wasn't actually a rain guarantee so I felt very misled and ripped off. He did clean a few windows that looked like they had debris that were missed originally on them and that was it. We also couldn't see the marks on the house because the sun hadn't yet moved to the backyard so he just hand wiped off a few spots instead of spraying down the house like Tom said they would. I would probably try another company before I had them out again. I was impressed with the green growing crap gone with the soft wash and hoping it doesn't come back quickly like their claim to fame. Pictures are after first wash of residue.

Extremely disappointing experience with A Step Up -- both the quality of the work and how they…read morehandled damage to my property afterward. Our 36-home HOA hired A Step Up to clean our dryer vents. When the crew arrived the first time, I spoke with them personally and watched them trying to figure out the equipment they had been given. The worker I photographed had a cordless drill, a flexible rod that appeared to be only about 4-5 feet long, and a small brush. Our dryer vents are approximately 4 inches in diameter and mine runs more than 30 feet. Several homeowners questioned whether their vents had actually been cleaned, and our HOA eventually had A Step Up return to redo the work. During the return visit, my security camera captured the crew handling their ladder behind my home. During that visit, a Mother Mary statue that had been in our family for more than 20 years was shattered. The pieces were simply piled behind my home. Nobody from the crew came to my door to tell me what happened or apologize. I immediately reported the damage to our HOA. A Step Up asked for permission to contact me directly, which I gave them. They never contacted me. A week later I followed up again and requested $155 to replace the statue. I still received no contact or reimbursement. To make matters worse, I photographed my dryer vent after their second cleaning attempt, and there was still a significant amount of lint/debris accumulated around the vent opening. I have photos and security-camera footage documenting the equipment used, the crew handling the ladder, the broken statue, and the condition of the vent after the second cleaning. Accidents happen. What matters is how a company responds when they happen. Coming to my door, acknowledging the damage, apologizing, and replacing a $155 statue would have gone a long way.

I requested our property manager to have WOH come back and clean up excessive lint on my and my neighbor's roof. Property manager reported he could not "get a hold of anyone" at the company. I finally called the company directly and spoke to Ann/Anna? and left a message for the owner to call me. That phone call to the company was answered on the second ring. So I might conclude the property manager at my association never made an attempt to contact WOH. After no response to my phone call directly to the business, I wrote my original YELP review. Truth be told, owner of WOH states he was never contacted by the management company. NOT SURPRISED BY THAT! I saw the owner posted a note on my original Yelp review yesterday. We have now spoken by phone and he has committed to make things right. Thank you Eric for the follow up . Messages do sometimes get missed. Thank you for your response and sorry that our management company may not have been truthful about having made the follow up request.
