I received thorough pre-surgery and post-surgery care instructions, on top of receiving calls from her office. Every staff member I met, from start to finish was incredibly professional, comforting, and made the experience great. I went in worried about scarring, but Dr. Jain did an incredible job. My incisions are tiny, and after 3 weeks you can hardly notice them. Highly recommend Dr. Jain and her team. I am extremely grateful to have been treated here. Saw her on a Friday for a hand injury I acquired two weeks ago. Doctor mentioned "yes that's likely…read morebroken." However, after 3 phone calls on Monday I finally got my results back. Not broken (woo hoo)! Doctors advice was "take Aleve for anti-inflammatory for one week". Might have been good advice if it had just taken place (but clearly i'd already tried that :) I'm no medical professional, but a third week Aleve will not magically help me regain motor skills :) I think I might have been better helped by a faith healer (same results minus the copay and deductible). So sad... She was so nice in person! I guess I'll be returning to another doctor who will actually be concerned about my lack of motor skills after now almost three weeks :) One thumb down (I'd put the other thumb down but I still can't move it). She gained one star for being concerned at the time; just wish she remained concerned after I'd left the office.

She came off strong and sounded like she knew what she was doing. Yet she overdosed me with a med the first month out, I am blind and she changed my meds dosage and did not tell me. She was asked the first visit if she could refer me to an oncologist for cancer followup, it took her 8 months and she could not do it, I finally found an oncologist myself and had to beg for her to send the referral, this also happened with diabetes followup, and other referrals, she never once got a referral the first, second or third time asking, and she constantly sent you to the wrong people, I was giving a referral to prostate cancer, I am female and had breast cancer. She refused for months to set up my meds in script talk a reasonable accommodation for blind individuals. Between her and the pharmacist it took 7 months, once it was finally done, the doctor asked me to bring all the meds I finally got after waiting for 7 months to her office, where her nurse stole them, they all disappeared never to be seen again and no one will say what happened, and it has been 7 weeks and I still don't have replacements for those meds. The list of incompetence with this doctor and her staff is so high, I can not recommend her to anyone, or this whole office and staff.

When I see Dr. Frownfelter, I feel like she truly cares for me as a person vs a quota. She took her time to get to know me, my family and the broader context of my life. When pursuing my symptoms, she developed an in-depth plan to determine the potential causes of my ailment, took me seriously and worked tirelessly to coordinate my care. She's incredibly smart and quite the detective. When the root cause was finally uncovered and it was determined that surgery might be my best option, she counseled me not only about the physical pros and cons, but the broader implications as well, including looking after my mental health. After surgery she visited me twice at the hospital, spending time with my family and making sure I was well taken care of. I can't fully express my gratitude for Dr. Frownfelter. She's the best doctor I've ever had and without her, I don't know that I'd be on the path to regaining my health.

This was a huge improvement over medical professionals who seemed to be guessing at options, which ultimately delivered poor results. Some reviewers seem to be put off that she doesn't sugar-coat things, but I personally prefer that communication style, especially when it will expedite my treatment. Sadly for me, but great for Kaiser members, she has closed her private practice and switched to that team.
