The front of the store is a little boutique type set up with so many beautiful art pieces, clothes, accessories, candles, etc. and the back of the store is where the art is happening. I also love learning about their artists-in-residence and really appreciate their commitment to diversity and inclusion. A friend gifted my young son a pottery class, and he absolutely loved it. I'd love to attend more classes or the day camps, but they are a bit pricier than other options, so we haven't yet. The Lux truly has a heart for engaging children in the arts. Lessons are 6 weeks, Wednesday or Thursday, there is a morning session or an evening available. The downside: there are only 2 sessions a year. Spring and Fall. I absolutely love it. I do slab work; he has pottery wheels available for experienced potters who want to use them. The courses are suitable for adults of ANY level of experience, including absolute beginners.
