I happened to be in Warwick and did a Google search for "gold buyers" and Atlantic Metals Xchange popped up. The location is easy to find (near Trader Joe's) and the parking lot is accessible and the store itself is lovely: it looks like an upscale real estate office which is understandable once you learn that the affiliates of this location are located in Greenwich, Ct and Charlotte, NC. The owner is gracious, receptive, knowledgeable, and patient and as other reviewers noted, he was willing to explain how he ascertains the quality of the pieces and assesses the value. (Mostly it's done by simply weighing items once they've been inspected.) Atlantic Metals Xchange offered absolutely fair (the best I encountered) prices in an environment that made me happy to be there. I would definitely recommend it and if I can find some other mismatched earrings, silver, and/or coins, I'll be back. What a welcome alternative to the other metal traders that seem to be everywhere.

Hate to bad mouth a business but this one is worthy of it…read more Financial services and advisory businesses are generally tough to deal with but UWM is at the top of the list of tough to deal with, or get a straight answer from, or get a truthful answer from. In my experience with this Cranston Financial Advisory company the principal advisor mislead me on the advisory fees and never gave a direct and clear answer when I questioned her on it. This is not sour grapes because of a poor performance in the market - that happens even with the best of them, but this company just placed my investments into a cookie cutter model and never actively managed or changed the investments to more suitable and appropriate holdings for my situation. The advisory fee charged was not the advisory fee we agreed up at the onset. I would not recommend using this company based on my poor experience even though I tried in vain to ask targeted and direct questions for the fees charged- the advisor was not truthful or forthright and charged me well over and above the fee we agreed upon. I put my trust and faith in this company and relied on what was told to me in our meetings and phone calls and was insulted and astonished that I was repeatedly lied to. Once the fees were taken from my accounts they were gone for good as the advisory would not discuss the issue with me and lost me as a client forever.
