    Pluss Renovations

I hired Tyrone H., operating under the business name Pluss Renovations, to renovate my basement…read more Based on his website and claimed 35 years of experience in the industry, I believed he was a seasoned professional. I agreed to a $15,000 renovation project, with a timeline of 7-10 days. The scope of work included: full demolition of the basement (including ceiling), installation of sheetrock and insulation, framing of a TV and wall-mounted fireplace, replacement of the basement window, expansion of a powder room, and enclosing the heating system and hot water tank. Tyrone requested a $7,500 deposit to begin work, and started on 4/28/25. Unfortunately, that was the beginning of a highly unprofessional and frustrating experience. After day one, Tyrone became sporadic and unreliable--showing up only 2-3 times per week. After more than 30 days, the basement was still far from complete and the quality of the work done was unacceptable. From the outset, Tyrone demonstrated a pattern of cutting corners and poor workmanship. He failed to fully demo the space as promised. He constructed walls without insulation, had to take them down and redo them--evidence of a clear lack of planning and expertise. He removed the ceiling and installed a new one that was visibly wavy and uneven, blaming the beams instead of taking responsibility for substandard work. He repeatedly requested to bring in "licensed" help at my expense, only for us to discover the individuals he brought were unlicensed. He also mismeasured the powder room, resulting in me ordering over double the amount of special-order tile needed--70 sq ft for a 34 sq ft room. When I asked him to install the excess tile on the walls, he refused, claiming it was not part of the contract, despite it being his measuring error that caused the over-purchase. When we pointed out serious flaws in his work, Tyrone became defensive and argumentative rather than professional or accountable. It became impossible to work with him, and we decided to terminate the contract after 30 days of inconsistent attendance, poor communication, and unacceptable workmanship. We informed him via text and email that his services were no longer required and requested a refund for the unfinished and improperly completed work. He initially acknowledged our message and said he would review the figures--but after multiple follow-ups, he completely ceased communication. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), which he also ignored. In doing further research, I found that Tyrone also operates under a separate business name, Bleuprint Contractors, where 8 out of 10 online reviews described experiences nearly identical to mine--highlighting poor workmanship, unprofessional behavior, and unfinished jobs. Had I been aware of his prior reputation and the negative reviews tied to his other business, I would never have hired him. In my opinion, Tyrone H. misrepresents his experience, provides substandard work, and lacks integrity. He is not the professional he claims to be. His behavior throughout this process has been deceptive and unethical, and I feel defrauded both financially and emotionally. I am now forced to pursue legal action in small claims court to recover damages. This experience has been one of the most frustrating and costly I have endured. I strongly caution anyone considering doing business with Tyrone H., Pluss Renovations, or Bleuprint Contractors.

The individual is doing business as Jacole Sound and BD Home Automation. The addresses listed on…read morethe invoice were 15 Tyler Dr and 179 Tyler Dr, Willingboro, NJ. The email address used was pastorjdale@gmail.com I trusted him with a large project that was never fully completed. It has now been nearly a month and he still has not delivered approximately $2,500 worth of equipment I paid for, including a Sonos Arc, a home theater projector screen, and a motorized mantel mount. He represented himself as a dealer for Samsung and Sonos, stated that he would personally purchase all the products, and insisted on payment in cash. After receiving the money, he began making repeated excuses for the delays, including claiming he had been in an accident--an explanation I later learned he had used previously with other customers. He later claimed he had the equipment in his possession over a week ago and promised delivery on two separate occasions, neither of which occurred. He has now stated that he will refund me $2,000, which contradicts his earlier claims and indicates that he was not truthful about having the equipment in his possession. A review of the Willingboro Township tax records shows that the business addresses listed on the invoice are residential properties owned by unrelated individuals. One of the listed addresses does not exist. This raises serious concerns about the legitimacy of the information he provided. At our initial meeting, he appeared knowledgeable and trustworthy. Unfortunately, my experience aligns with the negative Google and Yelp reviews. Many of the positive reviews appear questionable or are limited to small jobs, such as TV mounting. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience so others can be cautious and avoid potential issues.
