After having my car repossessed, I returned home only to discover that several items were missing. I typically keep coins in a cup placed in the car's cup holder, but it was also taken. Additionally, I noticed the absence of two large and rather expensive umbrellas, one in blue and black, the other in blue and orange. Furthermore, my portable tire air pump was stolen as well. Final Notice Recovery changed name Metro Investigation and Recovery Solutions Clinton Maryland I read the reviews, which were horrible. The vehicle was at the Clinton location. My concern were important business posters left in the trunk. Several reviews stated this company takes personal property out of the vehicle and throws it in a black garbage bag. That is troubling for me, because the posters would be damaged crumbled in a garbage bag. I called to get clarification. The most ignorant girl answered . She was unprofessional from the moment she came on the line. Her ignoramce was confirmed after I asked for clarification on what I read. She snapped at me saying " that's what you get for reading". Wow. Reading? I told her "reading?" "People read." She then hung up on me. I called back and reached the Baltimore location. The woman that answered the phone exhibited great customer service. She advised me that some tow companies charge to get one's belongings however, they are not suppose to go through the vehicle because it was picked up that day. This tow place in Clinton charges. She also aplogized for the rude employee and said she would forward my complaint. Here's the most important thing out of my experience. Clinton is in Prince Georges County which is predominately African American. Did this neanderthal girl that works for this company assume that because she is working out of the Clinton office that African Americans are just as ignorant as she and does not read? This is a horrible tow truck company. They do not do things legitimately. My car was taken off of a hospital private lot without any notification to the staff or anything. This was not a repo from my finance company either. They did not do their due diligence. I am 8 months pregnant and all my information money and everything was in the car because I had an emergency. I called and the rep laughed when I told her I needed my things and told me to call back Monday. This is not a good company at all. This is the most inhumane company that will scam you out of every penny you had. They repossessed our car. We missed 1 payment after moving to a different state. They called my husband's old number. They did not even call on my number which they had and just took the car. We paid the cars entire balance off of 12k within the next few days and still could not get the car until 2 days after. When we went to get the car, they charged us extra 360 for having their workers come in on bad weather day (when there was no snow or even freezing weather left). It's their job to pay their employees not us. It's a Thursday during business hours with perfect weather and no holiday. On top of that, they only accept cash for the 360 ( which makes me think the employees are just cheating us extra $$ that they don't want to show in their taxes as this money is not something they can legally ask for. They charged us around 3k in fees for having the car repod for 3 days (and the 2 days extra they were not ready to give it back lol) yet still need 360 in cash on top of this. Our wallet with debit card is in the car they have yet they want us to somehow get them cash. They know we don't have a car. We have the money but its sick they only want cash after the 3k fees they already charged. I really pray someone has the money to sue this scam company out of business for their sick practices. I have not been able to get my medicine for days now because we would have to go there and pay cash anytime we needed help from their employees in getting our items from the car. read more
