This architecture firm in St. Pete was founded by a woman and now also includes Jason Jensen as a…read morepartner. I toured their office and heard about some of their projects on an American Institute of Architecture firm crawl. They adesigned their existing office building, a modernist cement structure along Mirror Lake, as well as a Mondrianesque cubist structure that is planned for the future. They've also done fire stations, park buildings, religious structures, and residential buildings. They had a pier plan as part of a team of firms.. It's a design-build firm meaning the have a general contractor partnership that handles the build and gives feedback in the design phase which makes a lot of sense to me so clients wouldn't be caught dealing with and trying to coordinate between separate architectural and building firms trying to work through a project. The firm seems to like to include sustainable qualities in their projects such as designs that don't require regular painting. They definitely do some interesting designs and were involved with two design stages of pier design work. Jensen and the gentleman overseeing construction of the projects both inpressed me with their passion and knowledge. They seem like great people too. It will be interesting so see what other projects theu bring to our area and others to inspire. They also did interior work on the new James museum of Western Art in St. Pete. They also designed the Madeira Beach Municipal Complex which looks pretty inpressive. Worth a visit..
