There's nothing particularly wrong with this, it just is bad form that kind of bothered me. The cashier also seemed disinterested and unhappy. They also have a nice selection of sunglasses, hats, necklaces, and other items to help you play the surfer part. When I walked in I let the staff know I had never surfed before but was wanting to learn. The man walked around the store with me to show me all my options and gave some recommendations before letting me look on my own. Once I picked a board out they put the fins on for me right there and had me pick out a leash (separate purchase) and attached it for me in the store. With my purchase they also provided a little bag with wax, stickers, and a key for the fins in case I needed any of it. I ended up spending much more than the board I returned to amazon. However, for everything I bought, I believe it was reasonably priced. I am grateful this happened, as I now feel secure knowing I will be learning on a board that is best for me. Not to mention the fact that this board is so much prettier too! Throughout my whole experience at Surfers Supplies, everyone who helped me was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The staff worked as a team and made sure every customer left with what they needed, without acting like "salesman". I would definitely recommend Surfers Supplies for any of your surfing necessities.
