As other reviewers have mentioned, they have great deals and pricing options. Their staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Once, when I returned a movie and mentioned that there was a part that was scratched, they gave me a credit towards a free movie. It was such a nice bonus because I wasn't even expecting it. The other night, as I picked up a DVD to read the back, the guy behind me said that it was a good movie and that I should definitely rent it. I did and it was a great movie. I say get off your computer, go to Black Dog, poke around, and strike up a conversation with a random stranger about what movies they've seen recently, you never know you might make a new friend or two, or at the very least end up with a good movie recommendation.

Plus they have DVD, Blu-ray and even laserdisc. Counter gent was an old school movie geek like myself and was super fun to chat movies and the like with. I even headed off to the new sales Videomatica store afterwards and since I bought very little, went back to purchase more including a lessor-seen but reasonably priced Atom Egoyan collection of early films. (They covet the greats!) This store has it all in both rentals and sales - both of which are reasonable. LOVE THIS STORE!!!!!

We were instructed by a cashier at Quality Foods to check out 2 Thumbs Up. We were pleasantly surprised. Great service, great selection (including video games) and great prices. We checked out 3 DVDs from the new releases and it only cost us $6. 2 Thumbs Up is a lifesaver if you live in this neck of the woods and need a DVD rental. Highly recommended.

I still remember how the shelves were filled to the brim with DVDs and even VHS tapes! Seriously, it was so fun to browse his selection, especially because Joey kept a great collection of movies that both kids and adults could enjoy perusing. It's also thanks to him that I started to collect coins! I remember seeing his coin collection in a massive display case and walking away with the motivation to find my own coins! I wish that I could have said goodbye before he closed his shop. So I hope that you know Joey that this 23 year old still remembers your kindness and dedication to movies from when I was 9 or 10 years old! Anyways, thanks Joey for the wonderful memories and I hope you're happy wherever you are!

I would rather take the time to drive to his shop than to order from Shaw on Demand. Also he has many videos that Shaw does not carry, like The Gods Must Be Crazy 1 an 2 and the Danish version of the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo trilogy. Even if his videos were more expensive that Shaw I would still go there but they are not. The store also has a heart! When my redneck brother had a heart attack and was recovering from surgery I knew that a few seasons of Trailer Park Boys would cheer him up and Joey gave me 3 seasons for a week for just $3! Unheard of in this capitalist world.
