Fillin' Station had a Hogwarts special flight so we had to check it out. It is a cute little coffee shop, a little dark and moody for my taste but it was decently busy on a Friday at lunch hour. I stopped in after work this week. I ordered the Strawberry Patch latte off of the summer menu. It was definitely yummy but I was caught off guard by the price. My total for a large iced latte ended up being over $9. I suppose this might be commonplace for pricing anymore but I don't go out to coffee shops very often. I had checked their menu on their website before going and it must be VERY out of date considering the flavored lattes on there are listed as $4.48 for a medium. I'd recommend looking at pricing on DoorDash instead if you are curious. I don't think their menu board had pricing but I could have missed it maybe??? Employees were nice and happy to help me choose the right coffee for me. Service was quick. The shop was cute but there were quite a few flies so I left pretty quickly after getting my drink. read more

Food was EXCELLANT! Sadly: 1. the cold beverages they sell in the cooler are high sugar content, would be nice to have some healthy juice options. 2. The entry door is an 'alcove' so its used by LOTS of smokers...makes it miserable to walk in & out of this place without inhaling smoke and/or clothes smelling of smoke (& its bad for asthma.) If they can put a 'no smoking' sign at their outside entry door we will go back. Until then, we wont be able to frequent this business due to the smokers issue. read more

I used to love coming here. Unfortunately, I had a really bad experience and don't think I will be returning. I ordered an iced latte and waited a good 30 minutes, watching other people get their order. I kept trying to get the attention of the one employee and was never able to speak to them to get my order. I left out of frustration! A cozy coffee house in downtown Mankato in the old town district. It's across the street from a vintage comic book store, how good can it get? There is a unique and typical sandwich menu some of which are served fresh grilled. There is a choice of the usual chips or fruit. The menu of coffees is the same served everywhere so what makes the difference is the layout, the outdoor dining area, friendly barista, not an eye roll ever! I haven't been to Mankato since the 90's and didn't even recognize the rest of the business district as there are tremendous changes and even a couple of buildings that may be considered at least small skyscrapers. When and if in the area again I'll make a stop at this great caffeine depot. Oh yeah my usual dark roast brewed ranks in my top five of all time coffee places. read more

Nice ambiance. They have a back room with a larger table, and the front room where you can sit in cushiony chairs, higher tables or a desk with a pleasant lamp. They have some nice menu options, but it seems like every time I'm there they have a sign saying their grill is off for the day, or something to that effect. Like pretty much every cafe in the area, their hours seem a little limited too. Overall a nice spot. read more

They have pretty good coffee over here! It was my first time checking the place out with my friend. I would say the customer service wasn't the absolute best though. She seemed rushed and wasn't having the best day. It was mildly busy (we went on a Saturday). I got the Vanilla Bee (very good!!) it's from their top 10 list. My friend got an Italian soda and that was pretty decent. I'd say check this place out at least once, and decide where to go from there! read more

Sunday waited over a half an-hour plus for a 4 shot Americano coffee.... Only had one person working very busy, Barista, cook, waitress, dishwasher and server... All the staff are great, but understaffed. The owner needs a reality check... No person should be left alone when its that busy.. Support your staff. I have been there couple times a week at different times in the last 60 days. Always under staffed, no time for cleaning. I have notice that all areas are always dirty. A very bohemian Coffee Shoppe, which you would find in Abbott Kinney or Silver Lake (LA neighborhoods). Great hot tea, scones and breakfast sandwiches. Just passing through, but really liked the place. read more

I cannot remember exactly the name of the drink that I ordered, but if you see something with the word "Turtle" in it then go for it. The atmosphere here is very relaxed and it is located on a nice quiet street. It's also open later than most other coffee shops in Mankato, so it's a nice place to get work done and study later on in the evening. read more

I think at first I would have given this place 4 stars; however, after experiencing the service, I have to up it. The baristas here are fantastic. Once I got here 3 mins before close and she still made me a drink; being a barista myself I understand how caring, kind this is. Also love that they have a variety of flavors!! Delicious chai,unpretentious relaxed atmosphere and kind staff,WIFI and ample seating outdoors for those fall afternoons with friends sipping a Chai and enjoying a smoke. By far my favorite Coffee joint in Kato. I have never experienced poor sevice or bad drinks here in my 20+ visits. I can't by any means say the same about any other Mankato restaurant or Coffee shop so that says a lot! I can't help it though i am used to bigger cities...:( The coffee is on par with what I had when I lived in Seattle....The friendly staff and clientele only improves the atmosphere which is homey I haven't ever had any of their food items so I can't speak to them . My boyfriend and I came here 2-3 times a week to grab coffee, hang out and read. It's the most cozy coffee shop in Kato. The furniture is a mix of random pieces that all comes together very nicely. The staff is the best part. I don't know her name but the girl with the curly brown hair is always so pleasant! She recognized us and would always make conversation when we came in. Now we moved but every time I come back to visit I will make a stop there. Now we're having trouble finding a coffee shop in Chicago that compares to this place, and that says a lot! read more

I love the coffee hag, it is the best place to go in Mankato for coffee. They have a really yummy chai, best chai I've ever had.

Awesome atmosphere with perfect blend of music, space to sit and enjoy coffee and workspace with plenty of elbow space. I stayed long enough to enjoy a delicious chai tea (creamy and smooth and not too sweet) and Sumatra coffee with delicious lemon bar. I'd definitely come back. Barista was knowledgeable, friendly and super helpful wanting to make sure my drinks were satisfactory. Definitely recommend this coffee shop above others in the area. read more

My daughter and I stopped in here today and I'm very glad we did! The specialty drink options were vast and varied so there is something for everyone. I enjoyed an iced Caramello which was a perfectly lightly sweetened latte. My daughter had an iced Snickers which was a close copy of a drink she enjoyed from Dutch Brothers in California. I went in to get 2 coffee drinks and a sandwich with a cup of soup, all to go. It took almost 30 minuets to receive all of my items. It wasn't until I was half way home that I realized they gave me the soup in a container that had a regular coffee lid on it. Half of it spilled all over my car and on my brand new purse. Now I get that soup can leak but it's the fact that the lady who handed it to me DID NOT mention that there was a hole in the lid!! I called and all that was said was "oh yeah, those are the only cups we have", just blowing it off. Not to mention that the food was flavorless. I took 2 bites and threw it out.
