OVERALL EXPERIENCE: I would definitely be back! The food and service was amazing! AMBIANCE: Noise level is average. Chic decor. DRESS CODE: Smart casual/business casual. ORDERED: - Black Rice (must order!) - White Fish (cooked very well, and flavors were amazing!) - Beef Tongue (sOoOo tender!!) - Sorbet and Ice Cream Fair - Coconut Milk Flan - DRINKS: La Charra Brava, Love is also in the Air, The Threads of Life (all super good!) - I love that they brought out a small thank you dessert with a toy! This made it feel extra special, and an expression of appreciation. Unfortunately, you do not get to keep the toy LOL SERVICE: Service was exceptional! However, I wasn't a fan of them quickly coming to pick up the plates. Especially if other people in your party are still eating. Highly recommend that plates are not picked up until the entire party is done. It felt rushed, and not relaxed. PRICE: ~ $80 US Food: 5/5 stars Service: 4/5 stars Venue: 4/5

The food at Filigrana is nothing less than edible art. It's apparent as soon as you step through the door that every detail from the atmosphere to the flavors & presentation have been carefully considered and delivered with passion. There were no bad bites during my dinner here. The service was attentive, and I wanted for nothing. I would definitely recommend making time for Filigrana should you ever find yourself in CDMX.

There are so many great restaurants in Mexico City, but I think Filigrana stands above them all. Everything about her meal was fabulous. The decor, the creativity, the service and mouthwatering food.

My husband and I were devout fans of Dulce Patria (another restaurant by Martha Ortiz). Dulce Patria was hands down the best restaurant, gastronomic experience we've both ever had, and every time we went to CDMX we made sure to stop by. Unfortunately during covid they closed, and then we heard Filigrana was opening. Yes the ambiance is phenomenal, the food was amazing, the service impecable but it falls short when compared to Dulce Patria. We will definitely be returning and simultaneously hoping Dulce Patria reopens so we can return.

I just found my new favorite brunch place in Mexico City. A contemporary fusion-Mexican restaurant at a nice modern location. The food was excellent. The exotic green juices and mimosas were tasty and nicely decorated. The artistic concha was delicious and pretty. The Solar chilaquiles with yellow tomatoes spice and sunny side egg was my favorite item on the menu, yet you can't go wrong with the eggs in a casserole with mole either. The French toast with mascarpone cheese, yogurt, honey and fruit was by far the best French toast I have ever tried. The service was fast and attentive,m. Making reservations in OpenTable is recommended.

It's three times great food service and ambience definitely recommend visiting this restaurant everything so good.

Amazing amazing amazing! I walked passed this restaurant for 2 years without trying it. It's a smaller restaurant with only indoor seating. Most tables only seat 4 people, which is plenty for the romantic vibe they set. Drinks and food were 5 stars, everything we ordered was great.. I especially liked to chicken mole - and I'm not a mole type of person. Service was also great, our server spoke decent English. They also gave us a complimentary dessert which was really cute - just a few pieces of candy. The restaurant sits in condesa, with plenty of walkable bars, cafes, and night life.

Review Highlights - Filigrana

Having been to some amazing places in CDMX such as Quintonil and Pujol, I would honestly rate this place higher.

Even though they have…read moreseveral locations across CDMX, we stumbled upon one just a short walk from our hotel--and the fact that they were open on Christmas Day already earned bonus points. What really says it all? We loved it so much, we went back the very next day. This was the only restaurant we repeated during our week-long stay, which should tell you everything. The menu is extensive and thoughtfully curated--fresh, flavorful, and something for everyone. We tried the croissant sandwich, salmon deli nut sandwich, chutney mango deli sandwich, santos ahogados, fig chipotle deli sandwich, pear honey deli sandwich, and the spicy tuna deli sandwich. The sandwiches came with a standard simple salad. Every single item was delicious, well-balanced, and satisfying in that "clean but filling" way. The tables had two delicious spicy chili oil like condiments which elevated each of these dishes. And the juices--WOW. So refreshing, vibrant, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The perfect complement to the food and ideal for starting (or resetting) your day. If you're visiting Mexico City, Ojo de Agua is an absolute must. With such a wide menu, you're guaranteed to find something you'll love--and very likely come back for more. Highly recommend!

Very fresh and affordable healthy options! We stopped in on a weekday afternoon after walking by…read moreearlier and seeing how packed it was. We tried a few juices, the chicken tomato salad and the salmon tacos. The salad was huge with a big portion of chicken, avocado and many toppings for a reasonable price. The tacos were smaller but flavorful. Taking off a star because my salad arrived almost 15 minutes before my boyfriend's tacos arrived and the restaurant was pretty empty. The lights were out in the bathroom and in part of the restaurant, so not sure if they were dealing with a partial power outage and impact to the kitchen. Still recommend for the food!
