Beauty First was a great experience from start to finish. I was looking for a new place and read…read morethe reviews here on Yelp. I decided to try it out for myself. When I called to schedule, the person on the phone was friendly and helpful. They could have taken me same day, but I wasn't available. I went the following day - no waiting weeks just to get in the door! I was greeted right away and my stylist, Nicole, was at the front desk waiting for me. She was very friendly and talked with me about what I wanted done. She had a very down-to-earth vibe - not at all stuffy or snobby like at some places. I could tell right away that she knew her craft, as she helped guide me through what I wanted done until we were both on the same page (I wasn't communicating well what I wanted, but she figured it out and confirmed it with me). We enjoyed talking back and forth during the shampoo and cut, and she finished up with a perfect style for me - simple and understated, but very polished. Just what I wanted! I asked Nicole a lot of questions about the nail services there, and she was very helpful in that regard too. If she didn't know an answer, she asked someone else that was working to find out for me. Then when I left, she even gave me a list of the nail services and the card of one of the techs along with her own. When I checked out, the woman behind the desk was friendly and helpful too. The price of my haircut was very reasonable - about $40-$45 which included the shampoo, cut (about 4-6 inches taken off), and blow-dry/style. I was very happy not to have gone over $50 for the service. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience at Beauty First, and I will definitely go back for hair services, as well as maybe nails. They were personable and professional, the price was right, and it wasn't super busy - seems to be a bit of a hidden gem!

I went to Beauty First on Dodge Street in Omaha and was unable to locate the product. The first girl helping me didn't know anything about the products. The second seemed to know something about the products and told me it was discontinued. She ended up recommending to me this oily Firewall product that doesn't work and talked me into renewing my Beauty First yearly enrollment. I wasted $40.00 at this place. I found my Matrix Mega Sleek spray on amazon. Beauty first is a joke. You got me this time so relish it because I'm never going back. Too bad you don't care about your customers. I knew I should have just left the store immediately when I didn't find my product. Buyers beware: If they tell you something is discontinued, what they really mean is they don't sell it at Beauty first anymore, that doesn't mean the manufacturer discontinued the item. Your salespeople should choose their words more carefully, so they appear knowledgeable and honest especially in today's economy. 6-13-2023
