Went to salon based on reviews. This salon was the worst experience I've ever had. Never again! The stylist was uncomfortable with my color request, which involved highlights and low lights. Constantly pulling my hair when foiling the highlights. Also, when she removed the foils, scrubbed my hair after she rinsed out the color. Being a former stylist myself, you don't scrub the hair after a chemical process. You rinse the color out and lightly shampoo. Called to have the owner fix my hair. She said it was policy to have the stylist fix it! There was no way she was going to touch my hair again. read more

Came here in a pinch when I could not carve out time to get to my usual stylist (their place is far, working mom etc.) Darla did a great job with my hair, beautiful cut and dry. Was very happy. The only reason I docked a star is the receptionist. I am sure she does not realize it, but she seemed unfriendly and inconvenienced when I walked in, did not offer a water or anything, so overall that kind of was off putting. When Jamie moved on to other things in life, she referred me to Nomi, who is equally amazing! I've been coming to Profiles for many years. I've never been disappointed with anything. The receptionists are always welcoming. My stylist has never made me wait, even when I've been a few minutes late. One day, I received a call at work from her asking where I was. I had completely forgotten my appointment! But she still squeezed me in later that evening!! I've never been disappointed with my hair color, cut or styling. Over the years, I've met most of the staff. They all make you feel like family. I decided to try this salon, despite not knowing much about it, which I payed dearly for. I opted for a cut. When I called to book the appointment I explained my hair type and expectations. I was scheduled with a "senior" stylist. I arrived with my hair in its natural state. I also provided a photo of myself with the way I wear it and style it. The "technique" the stylist used is channeling. WHAT A DISASTER!!! This is the most disconnected haircut with random thin pieces of longer hair that will not blend even with the most strategic blowout and flat ironing. I was looking for a new hair salon. I was @ the previous salon for over 10 years, always going to the same stylist until she quit. I tried a few others but couldn't find the right "match." I have my hair cut & dyed. No one else seemed able to get the color quite right, not even the haircut & I was paying a lot of $$ for dissatisfaction! Finally disgusted, I checked out Yelp for another salon to try. Sydney actually listened to me because I haven't been that satisfied, thrilled, with my hair in a long time. Sydney got the color right the very 1st time! And she was very personable. To top it off, their prices are much lower than what I had been paying. My 2nd time was a walk-in so I had to go to someone else, someone who had more experience. She wasn't as attentive up front & it showed in the end. I hated the haircut & the color was "off." Maybe she was having a bad day, who knows?? But I do know that I am sticking with Sydney from now on! Why mess with what works?! read more

The salon was highly recommended by my sister, it's conveniently located in Cranberry with reasonable prices . To start with, my 3 p.m. appointment was moved back to 3:30 p.m. I arrived at the salon 3:28p.m. and waited a half an hour prior meeting my stylist, Sydney. I was very enthusiastic and excited to have such a lovely, beautiful, young stylist. Once I was in the chair, we reviewed what she was going to do with my hair, I had no opinion she could do whatever she wanted; I think stylist make better decisions when they have the freedom to express their artistic ability. My stylist disappeared for another 30 minutes. When she returned she had the coffee and water she had promised; I didn't realize she was going to be bringing it out on the same stand she had all the product that was going in my hair. After the product was applied to my hair I was placed under the dryer. The dryer had alarmed and shut off, I was left setting there for at least 15 minutes, as my stylist floated through the salon showing people pictures on her phone. Finally, I approached her sitting at the reception desk, on her phone, and asked her if she realized the dryer was off and I have been sitting back there for quite some time. She responded "I am waiting for you to cool down". Eventually she returned and rinsed my hair. At which time I realized I was not going to have the privilege of having my hair dried and styled. I am a nurse and was scheduled to work at 7 p.m. After she cut my hair I was escourted to the front reception area and paid what would have been a reasonable price, had I had the opportunity to see they completed end product, I don't know what my haircut looks like at this point. I rescheduled with my sister's stylist, Naomi. I can only hope Naomi is more efficient. I will definitely never return to the stylist you held me captive for 3 hours today and released me with an incomplete hairstyle. I believe her youth made her fail to realize she was at work, and not at a social event. Time management was not her strong point! I have never had an hair appointment last three hours and leave with wet hair, an Epic disappointment! read more

I am the most anxious person when it comes to getting a haircut- I know I am a stylist's nightmare! But my haircut by Elisa was absolutely AMAZING, and she was patient with me throughout my panic. I'm not from the area- I got a haircut while visiting family- but I would be willing to drive all the way out again just to have my haircut by Elisa again. Absolute 11 out of 10! My brother was searching for a place in the area that could give him a good hair cut. He, (nor my husband), have had any luck finding a place in the area that can cut their hair without pretty major mistakes. So, I read the reviews on this salon and decided to give it a try for him as a gift. He had a haircut picture picked out of exactly what he wanted. My brothers hair was long, below his ear lobe. I booked it and they gave him Lori who was more expensive I assume because of experience. He came home really, really upset. His hair was so SO short at the top, about and inch left on the top. The very clear picture shows about 4" on the top. Not to mention, she cut it like a faux hawk which was not the hair style. He said she had to cut down his hair with scissors because it was so long so she had to of messed up and kept cutting shorter to try to fix it. He had a lot of hair to work with and for 30 years experience, it was disappointing. He is a really nice guy and didn't want to tell her he was upset she didn't cut it anything close to the picture and WAY too short. He spent months growing it out to get the perfect cut. I felt bad b/c based on reviews, I thought it would be ok booking him here. Now, the actual cut was done well, it's just not what he asked for. So, I sent them an email to convey how upset he was, and I never got a response back. That put an even worse taste in my mouth. I will not recommend them to anyone and will be sure to pass along to everyone I know. Customer service to me, is just as important as a good hair cut. Also, tips can only be paid in cash, which is really inconvenient for 2017. read more
