Absolutely fantastic business, superb staff...seriously just amazing!…read more I wholeheartedly believe in businesses like this that teach drivers the fundamentals of driving and can teach you even when you don't own a car though it might be a bit more expensive not owning a car since you'll need more lessons but I used a driving school in NYC 35+ years ago and have since believed this to be an essential business for anyone that truly wants to ace their driving course. I purchased a lessons package for my daughter to make sure that her driving skills were polished and that I didn't totally teach her incorrectly. She certainly picked up a lot of pointers that I otherwise would not have realized to point out which is another reason I think this business is essential for anyone looking to ace their road test. These driving professionals know exactly what to look for on the road exams and can give you very useful tips to help you avoid failure. Scheduling was a breeze, ALL the staff I dealt with were super nice and just plain awesome! I'm very thankful to all the staff that run this school for their kindness, patience and professionalism.

Highly recommend getting ANY CDL here…read more.. When you're paying out of pocket you want a school that teaches you to pass your road test the first time. In comparison to other schools I've seen during test day Atlantic Coast keeps their trucks very clean and in much better shape than other schools and appear to have a much higher passing rate then other schools. Having to retake your road test can cost a student $500+ and I wasn't chancing it. Many thanks to Richard and Mauro who guide and explain everything in great detail making it effortless to complete a proper pre-trip, parallel park your tractor trailer (which I was dreading) and avoiding those Newburgh potholes (Richard joke) overall it was a very comfortable experience. Passed my road test Aug 21st and started work Aug 27th. Plenty of work out there READ and re-read the CDL book start calling out EVERY caution sign when you drive and you'll pass with flying colors.. Good Luck!! J.A.Ruiz

EDIT MAY 2021-After 9 months of lessons & 1 failed road test,, I got my license!…read more Thanks Ray & Evan, you did a great job helping me. As I stated below, i was an older student with little experience. Previous part of review left on Jan 2021: I'm a current older student. As with most typical bronx/city people, we never bothered to learn how to drive unless it was necessary lol. The point is, that i've been taking lessons since September 2020 & everyone has been great. All 3 instructors I've been learning under have been very nice. The owner is a good guy, him and his staff are doing the best they can considering the circumstances with COVID-19 this year so people need to cut them some slack. They teach and go over everything including the basic, day to day stuff you as a new driver completely gloss over; pulling into parking lots, filling up at the station, etc. Thumbs up from this bronx girl who is a 1st time driver at 40.

I had a very concerning experience involving Daytona Driving School that demonstrated a complete…read moredisregard for basic roadway safety. While exiting a residential community, I was forced to drive into the lane designated for oncoming traffic because a Daytona Driving School instructor had parked directly in front of the gated exit lane. This was not an emergency situation--the vehicle was simply stopped for an extended period of time and blocking outbound traffic. As a result, multiple vehicles were forced to maneuver around the driving school car and enter the opposing traffic lane in order to exit the community. This created an unnecessary and dangerous situation that could easily have resulted in an accident as multiple cars were also trying to enter the gated community at the same time. I personally spoke with the instructor, who stated that he was waiting for a student. Despite being informed that he was creating a safety hazard and obstructing traffic, he refused to move the vehicle. I then contacted Daytona Driving School to report the issue. The person who answered acknowledged that there was only one instructor working in the area and stated they would "take a look into it." For a company whose business is teaching safe driving practices, blocking an active exit lane and forcing motorists into opposing traffic is unacceptable. The instructor's refusal to move the vehicle after the hazard was brought to his attention makes the situation even more troubling. Based on this experience, I have serious concerns about the school's commitment to safety and professionalism. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for driving instruction.
