I have been buying firearms for longer than the staff here has been alive and never waited more than 15 minutes, even on a "researching" status. This place will then tell you they will call you when they get a response, but they won't even do that. You are forced to reach out to them and check and that's just sad it even comes to that. There are always at least 2 people manning the counter and they still can't seem to do even the basics correctly. Do yourself a favor and go to a real gun store if you're looking for actual service and people who actually know how to communicate. How this place is still around is beyond me.

No reason 3 employees should be in an aisle just standing and talking. Makes it's hard to shop for shoes, tried waiting for them to move, but they were there for a good 15-20 mins so kinda sucks. Also, all the shoe sizes were mixed in the clearance, youth-womens-men's, everything and all sizes was super crazy. To top it all off, they allowed a homeless man to roam the store and just yell for our last 15 minutes in the store.. so yeah, probably would not be returning to this store. Only saving grace was the cashier was super nice, only reason I'm giving 2 stars.

Don't give me wrong, I like the team and logo designs. But $40 for a shirt is kind of beyond me. Two years ago, I was here to buy a World Series souvenir and got turned away with price shock. Then, I waited several months, the prices ain't going down. I ended up buying it from grocery store. I often see Academy associated with Astros. That's why these licensed merchandise are not cheap. I often use their website for price comparison. Majority of time, I can't find anything to buy, except for those sales items. Before Freeway 290 construction, I used to come here a lot. Eh? I swore I posted a review here years ago. Oh well. Then, I discovered ordering online at academy.com really saves hassle interacting with store clerks and customers.

Love the fake mountain that you can climb on to test out the KEEN hiking shoes. While you are there add some SmartWool socks. These are the best! (I also bought another pair which were on sale at Going, Going, Gone in Florida.) The perfect hiking socks. Since there was a suggested packing list, I also added a new waterproof camera case, a crossbody hiking bag, a small flask style 500 ml water bottle and new hiking poles. Check out their sale section. My KEEN water shoes were 50% off and were shipped to me for free. Perfect for water entry hiking days to see sea turtles, Galapagos sea lions and Blue-Footed Boobies. They also have a great selection of jackets, shirts, pants, hats and gloves. Parking is plentiful. Returns are easy. A great place to shop for the Great Outdoors or Urban Hiking.
