This place incapsulates the industrial/modern/vintage style that is taking hold all over the country and I think it is way ahead of its time here in Springfield. This reminds me of a place you would find in downtown Nashville. A lot of people would call this a "hipster" store but I think that would be too broad of a term to describe this place. There is a masculinity about this place that exudes the essence of the hard working industrial American male that we all wish we were more like. What I'm really trying to say is if Paul Bunyan or John Henry were still alive, this is where they would do business. The store offers quite a few locally made goods from shirts, to candles, to soaps, to even hand made furnishings from local craftsmen. If you haven't stopped by Grayson Home yet, you are missing out. Our second trip was with our daughter and was the last evening they were open for the season. I kept my receipt, and 2 weeks later I asked to return it or substitute a smaller blow brush due to arthritis in my right hand and can't hold the barrel. My purchase was not any of the clearance items, it was on the back wall with just a discount. I've been a customer for over 10 years. Not anymore. There are more stores in :Springfield. Don't spend your money here. Supposed to be family owned, but obviously not customer friendly. I was shocked at the unwillingness to help. I'll be contacting State of Missouri on retail law. Big mistake going here.
