For a small space, there's a surprisingly great selection of women and men's vintage. They had an admirable shoe selection too! I was also impressed with their size range/inclusivity. It can be difficult to find vintage in sizes larger than a modern 10. My only note of caution would be to check all items yourself before purchase. I noticed two or three items of clothing with staining and a torn seam. These aren't necessarily deal-breakers for rare items, but the tags didn't note the flaws and they were priced similarly to the non-flawed items. Pro-tip: the plant store next door is DREAMY AF. Pop in there too.

They were having 50% off wi yer clothes and shoes. I left with 2 coats, 4 pairs of shoes, leather pants, two sweaters and two belts. There clothes are so nice and very reasonable. I stayed two hours and found lovely things. The employees (all volunteers) were delightful and very helpful. I'll be back next time I am in Springfield!

They have a ramp in the shop that you can test your skates on and their staff member was helpful when I asked about how often I should be replacing and cleaning my bearings. They also have a selection of jewelry, vintage style knee socks, tshirts and active wear as well as a rainbow of wheels, laces and toe stops. Visiting a shop like this is so much better than ordering skates online. You can test the fit, compare styles and personalize them to how you want them to look.

Bees Knees also offers customizable Vans roller skates. I think Bees Knees has a great collection of skates, both indoor and outdoor, for being a smaller shop. They offer a variety of skates on the cheaper to more expensive ends. In addition, they have a lot of different modifiers, including wheels, bearings, and toe stoppers, for those who want to customize their skates more. All of the Bees Knees staff are friendly and knowledge about the products. When I bought my first pair of skates, I felt like the staff member was being honest with me about expectations and quality. She could have easily tried to sell me the most expensive skates, but she worked within my price range to help me get the best skate for the best price. In addition, she didn't try to sell me the cheapest option either, being real about its quality and longevity. I ended up spending around $215 on new outdoor skates, protective knee, elbow, and wrist pads, and a pair of socks. Separate from product and staff, the interior of Bees Knees is absolutely adorable! The shop is bright and colorful and makes you excited to shop! I can't recommend Bees Knees enough for those wanting to get started skating or who have a past with the sport.
